So I just did a "find similar timelines" search and at the bottom it says:
Status By Consulate, Visa Type
then lists Armenia (I know that one's a mistake b/c it's listed first alphabetically), Montreal, Ottawa, and Vancouver, all for the K1. Ottawa?? Can a person have an interview there? I've only read about Montreal and Vancouver. Anybody know what's up with that?
Perhaps it's just wishful thinking on my part because I don't want to have to wait for Montreal....

Must be a mistake or maybe it's listed because Ottawa is officially the embassy whereas Montreal and Vancouver are consulates.

Ottawa is among other Canadian cities not listed that offers consular services to a degree, mostly Q & A's and assistance to American travellers. The embassy is in Ottawa and the embassy has a consular section but only Montreal and Vancouver do the immigration processing. If the work were spread out to other centers perhaps one per larger province things would be better.

Agreed!

Thanks to both of you for your answers.

Ha, I thought there was a consulate in Ottawa too (I mean it's the capital city!) and was disappointed when I discovered they really do only do interviews for K visas in Vancouver and Montreal.

Do you live in Ottawa?

Hi...I live in Northern Ontario and was hoping that I'd be able to have my interview in Ottawa too. As others have pointed out, its either Vancouver or Montreal. Vancouver seems to schedule interviews quicker than Montreal but I have no intention of flying to Vancouver. I'll just have to draw on my patience a little more and wait for Montreal.
