Go get married in another country. Maybe its too late now since Manila already denied the visa, but I'd investigate the possibility.

A K-3 marriage visa will process at the country where you get married, not in Manila. Flights to Hong Kong are cheap and short from Manila and she doesn't need a visa for short stays. She would only have to go twice, once for the medical and once for the interview.

If you get denied for illegal Drug use from an Interview on any US Consulate..

Your considered Blacklisted Permanent.. Banned from the US!!

Its really weird... You can't come to the US if you have illegal drugs history.. But when you get here it is so easy to get illegal drugs..

Exactly...Even if you get married in another country, they wont let her through at the US borders.. So the only option is you go live in her country or another one besides Canada or United States.

I dont know why you didnt find out before the interview though. A "true" relationship involve to know about our partner's past life..But hey they say love can be blind.

I"m so sorry for your situation Larry...May God help you go through it. rose.gif

Shabu - methampethamine is illegal in the Philippines and even just a possession of 1-gram if caught can put you in jail for years and not just rehab. And it have more complications and far worst than marijuana or cocaine.

Panel Physicians (SLEC or even in other countries) cannot deny an applicant based on the medical results. That is written in the Technical Instructions for Panel Physicians. All they can do is put remarks about their findings (Category A, B then put remarks like will need further evaluation in the US or will continue treatment/rehab in the US/upon arrival - if the case is medical or psychological in nature). In cases of drugs and highly communicable disease (those written as reasons for visa ineligibility), panel physicians can just place their remarks/findings and it is up to the CO/Adjudicator to give the applicant the good or bad news.

Here's the site for Classes of Aliens Ineligible for a Visa and Waiver of Ineligibility from the NVC website:
http://travel.state.gov/visa/frvi/ineligib...ities_1364.html

Good Luck!

SLEC is the front line for the US Embassy. They're not just doing a medical exam, they're checking you out and can effectively cause a denial with what they report to the Embassy. My wife worked in a meat shop and had a few small cuts on her hands and arms from slipping with the knife when she cut meat. The SLEC doc was asking her about it but she didn't understand why. I told her they were just wanting to know if she was suicidal. One of my wife's co-workers applied for a K-1 and lied about having children. The doc was very curious why she had stretch marks if she didn't have any kids. We'll find out today if she got busted at the Embassy.

I thought the band was a three year band after which you could reapply?
