I was wondering if any of the May filers who got their approval, have heard fron the NVC yet?

This will be our third week since we got our NOA2... but so far we haven't revceive any notice and I tried calling the automated response number, but our case isn't there yet sad.gif

I guess I'll just have to be patient! wink.gif which is not my best virtue! LOL

Calling the automated response system won't work for us K1ers, as K1 petitions don't stay long enough in their system. You'll have to speak to a real person to know for sure. Good luck! happy.gif

You're so lucky! Your case is going pretty fast! We were approved 5 days after you guys did, but we haven't heard anything sad.gif

I guess I'll have to call.

Hi Annette smile.gif

You got 2 NOA2? WOW! That's strange! We wanted our NOA2 so bad for so long and now you got 2 wink.gif LOL

I hope we hear from the NVC soon!!! (Fingers crossed!)
Annette
Just called NVC to find out the status of our case. A very efficient person told me that it was not received and I should be going by the NOTICE DATE which for us is August 24 NOT the Receipt date and that I would need to wait up to 90 days for the petition to arrive there blink.gif HUH???? ohmy.gif

I have heard the 90 day 'cushion' line from USCIS so I am skeptical of course but still, HUH????

sad.gif I'm so confused!

Ever Hopeful in a 90 days til anythng can happen kinda world,

Annette, unfortunately you received some mis-information.

The actual received date will be honored and recorded on the receipt notice. This date will appear in the “Received Date” box on Form I-797, Notice of Action. The received date on Form I-797 is different from the “Notice Date,” which also appears on the Notice and identifies the date the receipt notice was actually generated.

And I should add, USCIS pools a bunch of cases together and then sends them to the NVC... so sometimes people who got approved after you are sent to the NVC first...

We've been approved since 08/31. I found this out this morning by calling USCIS. Supposedly, USCIS mailed me an approval notice on September 4th, 2007. Good luck those that are still waiting!! kicking.gif

NOA-2 approval letter sent!

Yes, but we're not waiting to be approved, we're waiting for the NVC notice that you should receive after NOA2.

Annette, I can't believe they told you that! blink.gif According to the info. here in the VJ's flowchart, you should be getting the notice from the NVC after 2 weeks of your approval... this was our third week.. sad.gif

My fiance called yesterday and they told him, that our case isn't there yet, but that we should be receiving the notice 'any time soon'.

Thank you bszoom42 for clearing that info.

Let me know if any of you guys hear from NVC.

yeah my case is going fast now that we graduated from VSC.. Hope it continues on this way because that was a terrible wait!!!!
My friend on here, "Clarky and Tarah" also got their notice from NVC within about a week and a half. But we both went through Vermont onto London so sounds like a trend...

by the way - to bszoom - I can't believe how fast you are flying! You were one of the earlier May approvals and now you're interview date is like .. NEXT WEEK?! Wow. I think our interview will be scheduled for end of November, looking at London wait time...
kingstonjamaica
We were approved on August 27th, haven't heard anything from NVC. Keeping my fingers crossed that in another week or so we will.

UPDATE:
We finally got the NVC notice on September 12, but my fiance was here so he didn't check his mail until yesterday. We waited almost 1 month after the approval!

I have a question... the date on the notice is the date the case was received at the NVC? but how do you know when it's being sent to the local consulate? The notice says it will be forwarded next week to the Guatemalan Consulate.. but it doesn't give you an specific date.

Do you need to call to know when was sent?

How are you guys doing? Have you received your notices yet? Anyone who has received package 3 already?

Keep in touch! smile.gif
