I got a SSC when I was in the US 2 years ago, but I managed to loose it.
Now, when I was filling in the forms for my K-1, I mentioned that I do have a SSN and I want a new card. So I'm wondering whether they will just send me one automatically or I should go to the office and apply for a new one?
Thank you!!

Enumeration At Entry only applies to people age 18 or older issued immigrant visas and all K visas are non immigrant. You will need to go into an SSA office to apply for a replacement card you get here. Ask for an SSN Verification Printout to give you something until the card can be issued.

if you got a number you can get a replacement anytime as many times as you need.
Really?

There are limits on the number of replacement social security number cards we will issue to you. You may receive no more than three replacement social security number cards in a year and ten replacement social security number cards per lifetime.
