My friend just started taking insulin and will have to do so for the rest of his life.
I am type 1 diabetic. I made the move to the US from Canada on a K-1 visa in 2004, and have had diabetes since 1993. I can try to answer any questions you may have either here or if you wanted to PM me, if you think I might be able to help.
