We filed removal of conditional status in the last week of Feb 2007. According to VSC, they received it on March 5 and started processing it on that date. I had my biometrics on the 3rd or 4th week of April (if I'm not mistaken), and I did not receive any favorable updates until August.
Come August 16, I got an automated email from CRIS vermont stating that they ordered production of my card on August 15, 2007.
On August 21, I got a letter from VSC congratulating me for having my application for removal of conditional status approved, signed by P. Novack.
On August 22, I got another automated email from CRIS stating that they sent my approval letter already (which I already received by this time).
It was stated on both automated emails and on the approval letter that I should be receiving my 10 year permanent resident card within the next 30 to 60 days, which to my surprise didnt happen because the following day, I got my new 10 year permanent resident card in the mail!!!
Isnt that a nice surprise?
It really surprised me because the last time I checked with the VSC timeline before I got the emails from CRIS, as of August 16, they were still processing applications received by January 03, 2007.
To all who are still in the waiting game, hang in there, maybe your 10yr greencard is next to be sent
