I've had a problem with my case number. I couldn't find the case in the case status online till after the biometrics was done, and they "updated" my case. (I suspect they didn't enter it into the system correctly whenever they first got it, but corrected it when new information became available with my completed biometrics.)

We received the NOA last week and it's not in the system either. I have heard that from a lot of people. So it might take awhile, or until they send a biometrics appt letter, until it shows up.

It actually states on my I797C at the bottom that the number on the biometrics appt letter is the number to enter on the tracking site NOT the number from the I797C

Just received our NOA 1 for the I-751 from VSC today. We couldn't find our case numer online either. We're just waiting on a letter for the biometrics appointment.

Ah ha! Thanks for that information Widge! My Sister sent in her applications over a month ago, Husband and Son have already done biometrics and I still couldn't figure out why she can't view her case status online!

Will give this a try after I talk to her later and see how that goes.

I don't know all the details about CR1 visas, but I'd assume everyone filing for lifting of conditions will get biometrics done. Biometrics is when you go to a local USCIS office and they take your picture and fingerprints. They will send you an appointment letter for this sometime after you send in your lifting of conditions paperwork.
