Hubby told me today that the embassy called him this morning. They asked him the names of his sisters and brothers, and his parents, and where they lived. They also asked him the name of the schools he attended and if he had ever traveled out of Jordan. I take this as good news, and evidence that they really are working on the review of our case. Hopefully, it won't take much longer till I can be with my husband again!

That's great news Tammy! It's amazing how one little contact from the embassy can make you perk up.

Looks like everything is moving along.

I'm not sure if that is good news or not Tammy. What was his answer to the travel question? We got asked that question as well and because of a short trip to Syria he went on 7 years ago, we ended up in 3 more months of AP.

The lady at the DOS told me if he had traveled to Syria, Iraq, or Iran in the last 10 years then he would have to undergo additional security checks.

It is definitely good to know they are actually working on things and not just hangin' out. I hope that it is a good sign for you.

According to Ibraheem, he has never been out of Jordan for one second. LOL He is afraid they will also phone me and ask questions along the same lines. My biggest fear is that I will forget a brothers name. LOL He "only" has 5 of them, two that I have never met. Everything else, I have down pat. Melissa, I hope this news brings you out of the same funk I was in. Just have faith! Cracker Barrell sounds good, for a Celebration of us getting our husbands back where they belong, in our arms!

did they ask him to send in his passport?

I keep waiting for the embassy to give word one way or another. DH got a job offerer in another country as well as in Jordan. He took the one in Jordan but wanted the other because of more money, He wants us all together one way or another.... I told him to have patience! He asks how much... heck I dont know, ap can go on forever and a day!!!!! He wants to take the other job and ask for his passport back ect... UGH MEN

Our tickets are for the 29th, I will have pissed away 300.00, all because I believed them there when they said 7-10 days.

Tammy that's great news!!!!!

It IS amazing how just to know that the case isn't sitting on someone's desk collecting dust and that someone is actually working on it...albeit to dayum SLOW...but working on it.

I really hope we ALL get some good news soon! Inshallah!!!!!

This is great news, my husband was called and asked the same questions after the first round of security checks. They never called me, just him. My husband did travel many times around 75 to Syria (for work) and he came over just fine. He has also traveled to Iraq, Kuwait and no problems. It just takes a little while longer for checks but they are working on it that is the great news.

I pray that everything will be done soon and that you will be reunited with your loved one.
