Has anyone who filed in july had any change in their case?
I sent mine july, 28th and they have't even cashed my money order yet...
I am not too concerned yet considering I assume they had been flooded with application because of the new fees, so my envelope is still in a stack probably.

Hi, I sent my N400 last July 9th to Vermont and I got my first NOA for $400 after a month but until now no Biometric appointment yet. Maybe you're right they are flooded with applications right now.

we are in the same boat. I sent my application to VSC on july 27, they received on July 28th. Up to now, check not cashed yet. wish everything will get better.

Thanks for the replies guys...they confirmed to me that UNFORTUNATELY I am not the only one...well, hopefully things will move along soon for all of us...

I'm another in the same situation. N400 sent 26 July (they signed for it 30 July). Cheque still not cashed.

At least, thanks to Visa Journey, we know that we don't need to worry that our applications got lost, because others are in the same boat.

Surely they'll get around to us next week - fingers crossed for us all.

I found this link on one of the other VJ sections. The info relates to N400s also though, for each service centre.

USCIS is supposed to be issuing weekly updates, but so far there doesn't seem to be anything for week of 24 August. This link is to the 17 August update.

For Texas Service Centre they report that they have entered data from N400s received up to 12 July,

Nebraska 24 July,

Vermont 11 July,

California 22 July.

VSC is still at july, 18th... Mine was received july, 30th so I still got a way to go...

I Sent My I-765 In 7-7-2007 I received my biometric letter but not the receipt yet ...

We sent our package on July 28th. Checked the bank account today, and found that the check had been cashed (for the old, lower fee) on August 20th. Still no NOA, but at least I know they're not sending the package back, and I know that someone has touched it.

Good for you! I am sure you'll get your NOA soon enough. I mailed my N-400 the same day you did, they got it on the 30th and I just checked a sec ago....they still have NOT cashed my money!
And I am glad to see their "official" updates when it comes to processing times are almost always BS...

Hi, I just got my Notice for Fingerprinting in Hackensack, NJ on 9/25. Does anybody have experience on this place?

Latest update from USCIS for week ending 31 August. Texas Service Centre for N400s hasn't moved at all, and considering that between the previous 2 weeks there was a 2 day weekend (12-15 July), they have moved on only one day in 3 weeks!

So Vermont is on july 22nd....a few more days for them to go for me.

I just wonder why they cashed Sherlock's check...you must have been one of the lucky ones who get their package accidentaly put on top of the stack!

Hey congrats, that's some progress!! I deal with Baltimore so unfortunately I can't help with the office you're going to...I am sure it will be fine though, fingerprints are usually the easy part, I never had any problems or long waits either.

There's the 7 September update posted on the August Filers thread. Texas has moved on one whole day, to 16 July. Whoop-de-doo!
If they move only a day a week from now on, it'll be another 4 months before they even open my packet!

I hope someone else gets better news soon.

AHA Vermont hasn't moved one single day...they're still stuck on july, 22nd....

I got fed up and called the misinformation line today. The woman I talked to was obviously reading from a prepared script, and said that due to the backlog of N-400 applications that it is currently taking up to 90 days to get reciepts out.

I think this is the wrong thread to ask about EAD, I doubt that anyone here will be able to help. You could copy your question into the thread called something like "Working and Travelling before Green Card" from the list. People there might be able to help.

From your timeline though it looks as though your case is being dealt with - the RFE slowed it down, but it's still moving along.

I didn't get the chance to post this any sooner but...THEY FINALLY CASHED MY MONEY ORDER ON SEPTEMBER 17th!

I just did my biometrics on September 25 and is now waiting for my interview. It does seem that if you live in vermont it goes by a little faster for you because there isn't that many people in this area well after they receive your application and send it to the local office. When I went to the office there was 4 people waiting with me to do the same thing so I am hoping things will speed up eventually.

We sent the N-400 in about July 13th, the check cleared about August 10th, we got the notice around September 14th and we just got the Biometrics schedule last week. (Appointment for the 19th of October.)

Well.. I went and got my fingerprinting done last Wednesday. It was a quick process. They gave me the study guide with the CD For those of you who filed in July, did you already get your interview letter??? Anyone has information on how long this process may take before I get to go take the test?

Churipu ~ You're almost there. I am sure there already got your letter of bio appointment typed and everything already, but haven't mailed it out yet. Mine was typed up like a week before hand and they mailed it out a week later. Let us know when you get it
