Hey, everyone.
I have been pretty much lurking here.....not really having anything to add on top of the other posts until now....We were actually a part of the original "faq" back in 1998-1999. I was glad to see it was still going strong!
My husband came over on a fiance visa in Nov 1999, we were married in Jan 2000. We have gone through all of the immigration process but wasn't really in a big hurry to complete his citizenship until we heard of the fee changes. So here we are...in the pool with everyone else that filed in July!
We went to the Wichita, KS office on Dec 3rd for fingerprints and have been waiting *patiently* (HA!) for his notice of interview. Well, it came today, scheduled for April 15th. Unfortunately, it was also accompanied by another letter that stated the following:
"This is to advise you that, due to unforseen circumstances, we have had to cancel the previously scheduled interview on Tuesday, April 15th for the above applicant. WE regret any inconvenience this may cause.
We will advise you of any further action taken on this case, including any rescheduled interview information, under separate notice."
I tried to call in to see if there was a better reason given and got stuck in the automated system, with the "most recent" update being that they entered our information in October.
Has anyone else received a letter like this? It was really disheartening!
