just wondered if one is allowede to smoke on the consulate property?

As far as I know you could smoke in front of the embassy in Sarajevo and Zagreb they even had ashtrays around, but once you enter no more smoking.

As usual, people give their comments rather than answer the question.
My guess is there is no smoking allowed inside any US Consulate but chances are pretty good you can smoke outside since they cannot control the air.

Agreed kitkat. As far as I know, you are NOT allowed to smoke inside of any US government building. I could be wrong, but I;m pretttty sure.
