My girlfriend came to US by fiancee visa with her son(he was 15 y.o.at that time),she's got her social security number in a week after her arrival but her son couldn't get SSN,he's turned this year 16 y.o. and VERY WANTS to work and drive a car but he can't without SSN,so my question is does anybody know why he can't get a SSN?Thanks in advance

K-2 no EAD card or I-551 no SSN.
