I wanted to go ahead and prepare all of the info that I needed to send my hubby....just wondering what all forms, etc is in Packet 3??

I know i need a letter from my employer(s) and affidavit of support (i-134) for k3 visa....what else???

Packet for most consulates contains and instruction form listing what is needed to be gathered, (Police report, I-134, birth cert, marriage cert, divorce certs, etc...) list is known as DS-2001 or OF-169. It will also contain DS-230, to fill out and return, along with the DS-2001 or OF-169

The consulates tend to treat the I-134 like a mini-I-864 as so prefer the same financial evidence as the I-864.

In our case this what the I-134 included.

• I-134 signed and notarized.
  
• Tax transcripts from the IRS for past 3 years, (Redundant for the (1040,W2,1099) but are free from the IRS
  
• Photo copy of IRS form 1040, and W2s for past 3 years
  
• Letter from my employer stating annual salary, job responsibility, and that is full time, on company letterhead.
  
• Photo copies of past 6 months pay stubs up to a few weeks before the interview.

My income was well above 125% povertyline so I did not include any asset data.

Jade once your papers are at the local consulate.. the embassy will send out a packet 3. the packet 3 will include- applicant statement, DS-230 Part 1, a checklist, I-134 the affidavit of support.
the embassy will want you to mail in the DS-230, and the applicant statement, and 2 photos(everything they need will be on the instructions)
Once the embassy receives all this they will send out a packet 4 (the interview letter). 14 days before the interview they want you to submit notrized I-134(from america) and other documents that you are using for the interview.
I hope I didn't confuse you more than you already are..but this is my understanding of this process.
