She: NO, NO, wait 2 to 3 weeks because NVC gets thousands of cases from all the Service centers and it takes them 2 to 3 weeks to enter your case into their system and assign a number.

I : Ok, ok, I won't call tommorrow.

and then I said you are sure it left CSC yesterday. and She said, Yes it left yesterday at 6pm.

I said, Thank you, Thank you so much. and I hung up.

I wonder if NVC will give me the case number tommorrow when I call them.

I doubt they will have it by tomorrow, but I would say 75% chance of them having it by Monday! =) Good luck!

I still haven't gotten off the approval "high" yet, and I just have to say to myself over and over "the embassy will have it in weeks not months", "weeks not months", "weeks not months" etc.,etc.,etc.

give NVC a call tomorrow. my case was at the nvc next day... but i believe nvc will forward ur case on monday. congrats.

just for info hope this help we were approved aug 21 , mine gets to the NVC last sept 17 then they mail to manila embassy by sept 19 .

I received a "Touch" today for my I-130 at the CSC. Both applications have been approved. I am in the waiting period for CSC to bulk ship to the NVC. Does anybody have an idea why there would be a touch at this point on the I-130? One of my thoughts was to store that particular application as CSC now holds on to it. Thanks, Robin

Unless they're sending the wrong petition off to the NVC like they did Kalina

. I'm also waiting for my I-129f to go to the CSC, my stepdaughter's I-130 is still pending and last touched on the 13th, the other two were approved and were last touched on the 14th.

I spoke with USCIS CSC just a minute ago. Like others I'm very disappointed at yet ANOTHER significant delay in my paperwork. I wanted to understand why it is taking so long to ship the I-129F to the NVC. This is what the kind Chinese lady told me.

For an I-130 application, they can simply send the application "as is" to the NVC. Therefore, shipping the I-130 is pretty quick.

For an I-129F, K-3, application, the paperwork has to be physically manipulated by hand by pulling certain documents and putting them into new file pouches. Then the I-130 application has to be filed and stored to be held for the AOS. This is what they are referring as the staging area.

I asked how long this should take. She replied saying they don't have a good estimate, since they are new to this process. (As we all know by now.)

So it looks like we are being held up by the huge backlog or surge in applications. We just jumped in at the wrong time for "quick" processing. She said it's been taking about a month.

It now doesn't seem to me that we are just sitting around waiting to be shipped. Instead we are again finding ourselves waiting on low resources to deal with the surge they have experienced. Funny, you would think they could keep up with the pace of adjudication. But that would be too logical of an assumption.

Hope this helps. For me, IF THEY WOULD SIMPLY EXPLAIN THE SITUATION AND TRUTH OF THE MATTER, I wouldn't have been as frustrated. Although, I have thankfully handled this much better than I anticipated.

As my mom says, "Don't pray for patience. The way you learn patience is by waiting." I have not been praying for patience, but I still received a nice, long wait.

Sorry if this is common knowledge. I don't remember hearing these specific handling details.

Thanks RobinAtAileen. It looks like you actually got a lot of info out of them. If it's accurate I can expect another 2 to 3 weeks at CSC. I was hoping I would have " lucked out " and it would've gone out with a batch of earlier petitions to NVC. Have you seen any touches on your petitions since they've been approved ?

My wife just received our NVC receipt notice via snail mail and have already gotten my NVC Case number.

My question is how do I check with Manila US embassy when my interview date is?

Don't lose hope guys you will be receiving yours pretty quick soon.

just dial the manila embassy at 19091017878 using PLDT tel and u give ur NVC case nub to check if it arrived there , how ever the call will cost 50 pesos per minute , i advise u call maybe after a wk , coz my husband just received noticed from NVC telling my papers was sent to manila yesterday im gonna check tom if they already received the NVC sent it last sept 19 .

Okay guys...i got a notice from the NVC in the mail saying that my approved petition would be forwarded within a week...it was dated September 12th...i called on September 21st and it is still in administrative processing. What in the world did they send this letter for??? I thought they only sent a letter when they actually sent the paperwork to the embassy????

Can someone clarify???

I would write an e-mail every week, that is what I did, and they answer. It will take always 10 to 14 days but so you know excacly where your paper is. My 130 approval was July 11, it is showing at the web STILL pending.and than it took 3 weeks to the NVC.You also can call the automatic service it is pretty much correct. At least you will find out when your case has arrived.Good luck.

Hello Zolanden, I was not on this page for a while and wonder if your daughter has her approval already and also if your paper is already by the NVC. If not so, hang in there, I know this waiting is so frustrating..but I am sure you will be back home for Christmas.I wish you all the best and of course all the other March filers. congrats WISH... but its not fair that its already been 195 days..some people from india get their interviews in that time. i am going through the same thing.....its been over 200 days for me..and i have seen people from india get their CR interviews around 240-250 days.

Finally our I 129 F reached NVC! Yesterday my husband called and they gave him a case number of our case. We will be waiting now to sent the papers to the embassy. I hope they will do it soon.

Congrats Kalina...finally...

As for my update...here it is:

For my I130: NVC sent out request for Affidavit and Green Card Filing Fees to my lawyer the week of September 3rd. My lawyer finally received it as of September 16th. WTF? He sent out the required info. NVC asked for. Does anyone know what is supposed to happen next?

For my I129F: There was a touch on September 25th so I called them up. They said I should be getting something in the mail shortly...

Good luck to the rest of you...hopefully things move along fast and we all get what we want in the first week of October!

Just called the NVC,and the operator told that they have not received our case,we have to wait 90 days from the approval.
Now we will try to call CSC to get some info.It is crazy!

Zolanden,
I wish you the best to get out of the clutches of CSC!!! Finally CSC is beginning to review our applications and I feel like a basket case because of this whole process. Then I look at you and you have been going through this nightmare alot longer.

Zolanden, they said the same to us about this 90 days. In addition every time when my husband called CSC they said different information to him. I know how you feel. Hope that NVC will receive it soon.

Zolanden this is so disgusting. Call CSC in any case and try to see what they do with your case. Wish you luck and hope that they will send it very soon.

Kalina thanks.It is a nightmare for us,indeed.I cannot stop thinking about this "90 days" response.Did you get the same ,when you guys called the NVC?
