Anybody live near CSC who can offer to go in there for all of us and pay the postage to have our files sent to NVC? I'm sure everyone here would pitch in a few bucks

That's awesome, Neel!!! I'll call CSC on Tuesday and tell them that there's a bunch of us from an online group who have a representative who would be willing to come in, attach postage to all our files sitting in the mail room, and run them down to the post office!!! You would think they would either be inclined to say yes, or a better guess would be that (assuming they possess the tiniest bit of common sense) they would get the hint. I mean, it can't take more than an hour or so from one person each week to add postage to everything, run it to the post office, then return back to their wonderful office. This would probably save them hundreds of hours spent on answering the "why the hell hasn't NVC received my paperwork" phone calls every month. Neel, I am really greatful for the offer. And I'm sure lots of other VJer's in this thread are too (especially knowing that NVC has already received your paperwork). But we can't ask you to make that trip. However, I am planning on calling them on Tuesday and making the offer just to get a point across to their lazy government-worker a$$e$. For God's sake, up until August, it always took between 5 and 14 days for NVC to receive the paperwork after the NOA2...and now it takes 4 weeks or more???? Kiss my a$$ CSC!!!
I'm anxious to hear their response

If they're going to make us wait, we may as well at least get some entertainment value out of calling out their ineffectiveness and laziness and hear their response.

We just recently received our NOA 2 for I-130 and I-129F, and my wife has already received a package from US Embassy for K3 on 8/27. My questions are:
1) My wife is currently in US with me on VISA waiver, is it necessary to go back to her country and begin the K-3 process right away? Will it expire?
2) My I-130 and K3 were approved at the same time. From my understanding, CR-1 / IR-1 would save a lot of trouble compare to K3. Shall we expect the package for I-130 from US Embassy any time soon? or we need to cancel the K-3?
Thanks in advance if anyone can help us with these questions. People are so friendly here =)

I couldn't take it any more! We've been calling the NVC every day for 3 weeks checking to see if they received our I-130 yet and getting the same "have not received message". Also, I have still not received my NOA2 from either I-129F or I-130 even though CRIS showed they were both approved on Aug. 8. So today I broke down and called CSC using the RFE trick again. I found out that our I-130 had gone to the NBC and our I-129F had gone to the NVC on Aug. 30. (This shouldn't have been the case by the way. See this post for more info:
http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=86217 ) I also called the NVC to confirm this and the operator there told me that our I-129F is now on its way to the US Embassy in Kyiv, Ukraine! So it looks like we will be making a K3 visa instead of a CR-1 and hopefully my wife will be here in less than 2 months if all goes well!
Best of luck everyone!

Hi LvivLovers,
Very interesting. So USCIS (CSC) ignored your attempt to clearly indicate you want consular processing for your I130. I can't say that I am surprised, but your experience will be valuable to others hoping to try the same thing (keep both the CR-1 and K3 options open).
Congrats on the getting your I129F forward to Kyiv!

Yes. I sort of expected them to just ignore it right from the beginning. But I figured it was worth a try so we could have 2 horses in the race so to speak. The woman I talked to at CSC was actually an adjudicator and it was sad because I could tell she didn't understand the process nearly as good as we do on VJ. She completely couldn't understand the concept of having both the I-129F and I-130 active at the same time and just kept saying that would be too confusing. haha Oh well. It was to be expected, I guess! Good thing is I'll see my wife soon!!!!
Thanks again, and best of luck on your journey!

I called NVC a few hours ago and they still hadn't received my paperwork. It sounds like 3-4 weeks is pretty much par for the course these days. I guess I should probably wait another week to call NVC. I'm assuming CSC won't pull off any miracles and get it there sooner. Oh well.

Just an FYI...if you had both your I-130 and I-129F approved around the same time, chances are, only your I-129F will be sent to the NVC, so make sure you talk to an operator and ask them about your I-129F. Just checking for your I-130 through the automated phone system won't help if they only transfer your I-129F in other words!

Hi, I just wanted to mention that how long it takes CSC to send cases to NVC depends on when you were approved and when they last sent the truck. Your petitions go to NVC by truck and they do this once a month. So if they last sent the truck on Aug 14th and your petition was approved Aug 18th, then you would have to wait until the next time they send it. Then youhave to wait for NVC to do their thing with it and assign a case no. The nice thing though is that most 129F after getting case no. are sent to consulate overnight by email. At least this is what I know from my experience. Best of luck to you all.
