I called also just for grins....big surprise....not there yet. I wonder how much money they have saved by not mailing our forms to NVC yet. My guess is they don't ship until the approved pile "gets really big" and they need more space again. I'm so tired of waiting for them to do these simple tasks.

I think "in the mail" means that they're in the CSC mail room. I'm going to guess that everything gets gathered up by the CSC mail person (who has been in rehab for his crack addiction since the end of July by the way) and brought down to the post office...let's hope his rehab is going well so he can get back to work and get our paperwork in the mail!!!

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that NVC receive your petitions soon. I'm now sure CSC are playing the "bad cop" role vs VSCs "good cop".
On a slightly different note: There really shouldn't be this much difference between the 2 centres and CSC should just throw away their pride (why else would they allow this slowdown to continue while VSC twiddles it's thumbs waiting for something to do!) and say they need help from their counterpart.

Neel, like always information from USCIS is contradictory. From CSC said that they sent petition on the same day when it was approved. Now I am suspicious about that having in mind your information. My husband called NVC too and the lady said that they didn't received it. When he told to her about the answer from CSC she said - "yes, it is possible, petition to be here at NVC and to wait to be input in the system.
Neel, did you ask about your I 129 F or you asked about I 130. My husband said to me that in NOA 2 the timeline for I 129 F to be received at NVC is from 2 to 4 weeks. He said that this timeline - to wait 90 days before calling NVC is only for I 130. Additionally I 129 F has validity and if this for 90 days is true it will expire. I am so confused and begin to worry again

I have to concur with all those who say that "sent" must mean in the CSC mail room. While the distance from VSC to NVC is shorter and thus petitions might travel a little faster, the VSC petitions appear (anecdotally) to be getting to NVC much faster after approval then CSC (as in within a week or so). CSC must just be sitting on your petitions. This is what I have to look forward to.

Guys, need a little advice from you,
Since I got approved on 24 aug,I got a touch on 26.(sunday) and nothing since then. Is this normal?
my I 130 and I129F got approved same day, status changed to "approval notice sent".It is ok .
I am worried because of my daughter 's I 130 is untouched and still shows pending.
My husband told me we have to wait by the end of the week ,and he is sure that we'll receive her I130 approval too in snail mail.
However ,I am getting worried.

Hello to All -
I am a new member and quite distressed because my husband and I have got no news from either our I-130 or our I-129F (K3) applications. My husband is a U.S. citizen and I am French. We got married on 19 March. We hired a lawyer who filed our I-130 on 6 April. The NOA for the I-130 was issued on 8 May by the USCIS service centre in California. Our lawyer then filed the I-129F a few days later and the NOA for the I-129F was issued on 16 May by the USCIS service center in Chicago. Since then, we have had no news whatsoever. All we know is that both our applications are pending before the California Service Centre. I check the USCIS website every day and this is becoming really distressing.
At this stage, we are wondering:
a) Whether it is normal that the I-129F has also been transferred to the California Service Centre? We thought that the Missouri Service Centre is handling all K3 application based on the LIFE Act. Did our lawyer make a mistake? Should he have specified on the I-129F application that the I-129F application was in view of a K3 Visa? (not sure he did....)

Is it normal that we still have no developments on either fronts? I saw on this message boards that other people got their files approved earlier in August: what can be delaying our file???
c) We got married in the U.S. and the 2 USCIS applications were filed in the U.S. by our lawyer. Do I have to stay abroad to complete the applications at the country of my foreign residence or can either of these be finalised in the U.S?
Any insights would be most gratefully appreciated! Thanks in advance.

I think you would get better information if you post your questions in different thread. Anyhow, all i can tell you is that it is too early for you to receive an approval. as you can see looking at the timelines of people from this thread it took more than 5 months to get an approval. You did not make any mistake... local service centers take care of both I-130 and I-129F(k-3)
most of the approvals that you saw in early August are filers from MARCH. none of may filers have received their approvals from CSC. looking at statistics i would say your petition would get approved last week of Sept. or early october. anyhow, find people who filed in MAY like you on this website and they can provide a support for you. anyhow, good luck.

Neel, you're our fearless leader. Keep us up to date and let us know what to expect. We March filers obviously can't look at the VJ "average" timelines and expect our process to be completed accordingly. Since you're at the head of the pack for those of us that CSC decided to screw over, we're counting on you for your valuable information!

from my experience i have found out that the time it takes the petition to reach nvc has a lot to do with your case worker. for example... even though my petition was approved on july 31st...it did not make it to the mail room until august 24th. after it reaches the mail room..... then it is usually shipped within a week.
i just continued calling nvc....but it was not in their hands. so i honestly feel that if your case doesn't reach nvc within 2 weeks.....call uscis using the RFE trick.... and I called them on 24th and got a touch and my file made it on the 29th. maybe i am wrong but i feel that my call brought it to their attention that my file needs to be shipped...... so just give it try..no harm in it.

The problem is, if you call back and talk to someone else, chances are you will get a completely different answer. I wish they would let me come out there and personally pick up all our forms...I'd deliver them in 1 day! There's really no excuse for this sort of thing. They are either trying to save a buck or they really are trying to make this process as miserable as they can for some reason.
