My fiance had an interview August 6, 2007 in Cairo. After the interview was over they said, "Everything is complete, you should recieve your passport back in 3 weeks." We have no idea if that means he passed. Also my fiance asked them if he should buy a plane ticket, they said not until after you get your visa. SO I am not sure and 3 weeks seems so soon do you think they really mean it? Why can't they just say "you are approved of denied" IS anyone else in the same boat or know what is going on? blink.gif

there's always lots of discussion on Cairo in the MENA forum... try looking in the regional section(s) for regional information smile.gif

They would've told your fiance he was denied right there at the interview. If they kept his passport they are issuing the visa. It's standard procedure for them to tell you not to buy your ticket until your get your passport back. You have to check the visa to make sure they didn't make any mistakes with it before they give it back. If they've made a mistake and you've bought a ticket you will be out of some money.

They told my husband he was approved and whould hear from them in 3 weeks to a month. that was over 6 mo ago. So you can be assure that your case will end up in AP HELL. Unless your one of the lucky ones. You should have them add you to the Egypt AP list.
