Hello there..

I am hoping someone can help me with tax stuff... I am trying to gather documents for the i-864 and I admit that I am completely in the dark about the US tax system. My (US) husband is currently deployed and uncontactable so i am trying to sort this whole mess our from OZ! ;-(

My questions are as follows:
- We ordered transcripts from the past 3 years. For 2 years 2005 and 2006 we have forms 1040, and for 2004 we have 1040A. Is ONE of the 3 forms mentioned in the i-864 sufficient for each year as I already have (1040, 1040A and 1040EZ) or should I have each of these forms for each year?
- In 2004 my hubby was deployed and worked in a tax free zone. For this year the "total income" on his transcript says $0. Instead his income falls under NONTABABLE COMBAT PAY ELECTION. Will they accept this? And do we need a letter explaining this?
-Did anyone send the transcripts for 3 years even though over the poverty line to be on the safe side? Or am I being OTT unsure.gif

Thanks in advance for your replies!

best regards.. :-)
