RISE AND SHINE EVERYONE!!! Its SUNDAY!!! Sooooooo.....what is YOUR favorite thing to wake up to?? My favorite thing is to wake up to the sound of my SO logging in or buzzing me to wake me. I love to wake up to him online. (Aren't laptops, cams and dsl WONDERFUL things??) Then I love to have our breakfast together on a lazy Sunday morning. What is your favorite Sunday morning pass time???

I slept in this morning but my favorite thing about Sunday mornings is just waking up and having a cup of tea and enjoying a beautiful day while the rest of the neighborhood is asleep smile.gif

Some Sunday mornings before I get out of bed I call my fiance and he's usually napping so I wake him up and we talk "in bed".

hey everyone, happy sunday...im being lazy lol and its 7pm here....i gotta get some stuff done still and we are going out when geo gets home! tomorrow nite we were invited to a party at the amer embassy so that will be fun!!

I look forward to the weekends because that is the only time when I can spend time with my SO and see his face. Our work schedules are about the same (believe it or not)...but he still has to work on the weekends. Fortunately, he works for his uncle. His uncle owns an internet cafe. Even though I don't really like this, it is our only way to "see" each other for now because he doesn't have a computer in his home yet...BUT...when I go there in October, I will get him one for his home. We both work very hard all week long and look forward to the two days that we can be together. We spend all day Saturday and all day Sunday together and this is the best part of my week. Don't get me wrong, we talk many hours on the day but this is the only time I can see his face and see the most beautiful smile that I've ever seen before.

yes.gif Yes, I am head-over-heels in love with this man....LOL!!! heart.gif

I'm not a morning person so I don't "like" to wake up to anything.............much less the barking minidogfromhell that woke me up at around 6am and didn't stop until 8:30am.

ranting33va.gif

I ended up going back to sleep finally and didn't wake up again until I heard the boom boom boom of the neighbor's daughter playing with her basketball at 11:30am.

I'm gonna go watch the food channel. I need a new favorite recipe.

What do I like to wake up to?? ummmm..... I like to wake up knowing that I can go back to sleep. I hate mornings but have to get up at 7am to get ready for work. blehhh ... I think waking up that early has GOT TO be a form of cruel and unusual punishment..... blink.gif

Getting ready to head over to Ryans for our Sunday Restaurant Day. I hope they have steak today..I have been craving steak for 2 weeks!!!
Then we're going to head to a couple furniture places and possibly buy a new dining room table/chairs. It will be nice to have something to sit on for once!

Not many seem to be up today. Where are all you MENA peeps today??? Anyways..there's nothing better than a lazy day...

Oooh I love the pics. Thanks Monnik. I like to wake up to the blinds open and the sun shining through my window and a fresh pot of coffee never hurts. We had breakfast at Le Peep earlier and the waitress remembered how he likes his tea. He was grinning from ear to ear laughing.gif I thought it was too cute.

Not a whole lot going on around here today. My parents just got back from their Alaskan cruise so we're supposed to go to their home later today to pick up some cheesy gifts (as my dad puts it). Until then I'm looking for the recipe for Pretzel Time pretzels. My kids are begging me to learn how to make them.

On Sundays, I like to wake up to my husbands "Goodmorning Texts" or his "miss calls" that he sends to me, they are sent much earlier then other mornings. Especially on Sundays, they seem to put me much more .in heaven because after seeing them, I just lay in bed thinking of the day when I will be able to wake up and see him lying next to me and just being able to watch him while he sleeps. It's my life long dream that I can't and will never give up on. So thats my early Sundays mornings and I continue to hold these mornings close to my heart and keep them special. luv.gif heart.gif

You all are so romantic!! People waking up via webcam, good morning texts.......wow!!!!

We're soooo not the mushy mushy romantic type at all. I feel like we're doing something wrong now!! lol.

whoops..forgot to add a big thanks to monnik for sharing those beautiful pictures of Alex! That's no Alex that I ever saw but I'm sure it was just amazing!!! good.gif

Happy Sunday mena peeps! I am at my desk drawing diagrams of houses, watching the rain fall.

This was my last weekend to stay in the house. Next Saturday, Lexy and I are going to a sleepover pool party in Wisconsin at my sisters house. She has an inground pool and every year she has a big get-together. Lexy said, 'grammy let's sleep in a tent and tell scary stories.' Where did she come up with this? I surely won't get internet in a tent. So I will be absent from VJ next weekend. And the following weekend, I will hopefully be at concert with Malarie (everything crossed, fingers and toes).

Hope you all have a great day.

Oh that sounds like so much fun with Lexy Jackie!!!!! My next door neighbor has two grandsons and they sleepover just about every other week in the summer and they pitch a tent in the backyard and he and the two boys sleep in it. It's cool 'cause I leave my porch door open at night in the summer when it's nice out and I can see the flashlight and hear all the giggles. smile.gif My girls never wanted anything to do with camping unfortunately. I used to love camping when I was younger but my back wouldn't take it these days unless I had one of those air mattresses in the tent.

Wow! It really is a lazy Sunday. Nobody's posting.

Jackie, your granddaughter sounds so cute. Don't you just love it when they pick up on every little detail? My niece told me that for her 5th birthday she just wanted to "take it easy and relax around the house". hehehehee

doodle: sorry if those pics are misleading. I couldn't stay connected long enough to edit that post. Those are pics of the North Coast only. I bought the camera the night before we left Alex, so I didn't get a lot of good pics from there. But, here are a few:

sarah and hicham
I don't know if people are being lazy or if they're just out doing stuff!

I woke up early to play in a golf tournament with my Mom. Now we're just hanging around the house thinking about going out for a walk and some shopping and dinner.

Have a good one everyone!

Well, I finally did the deed on window treatments! My parents came over (dad w/ electric screwdriver in hand) and helped me put up some new curtain rods, tiebacks, & curtains - wooohooo... the living room looks so nice (and so different). I can't wait for the hubby to wake up and see the change - yes, he slept thru it all! It's almost dinner time here - I never ate any lunch!
doodlebug
monnik - that is what i remember...kind of. Thing is we only went out like after 7pm so I never really saw it in the daylight. lol. I never even went on the beach. We were sick most of the time though so we didn't feel like going out a lot. Awesome pictures though!

me n him - I have about three sets of curtains for three rooms and they've been in my hall closet for about two years 'cause I can't get anyone to help me put up the hardware. It really does make a difference in the room!!

sarah - you sure do golf a lot! my dad is 75 and a 6 handicap. I used to take lessons when I was younger but never really got into it. I wish I had though since it's a great way to get outside and most of the courses I've seen anyways are just gorgeous.

amerylu - I want to go on an Alaskan cruise so bad!!! I was actually planning one when I met my husband so it was either go to Egypt or go on that cruise. I had gone on a cruise a year for the past few years and was so hooked. It's an awesome way to travel. Hopefully I'll get to go there before global warming melts it all into the ocean!

I did some food shopping and oh my. It was the first real shopping I've done (like the big once/week stuff) since I got back from Egypt and it took like 7 or 8 trips from the car! All stocked up for starting Weight Watchers tomorrow.....my store was having a special on WW frozen foods so I got 5 for $10. So good for popping into the microwave at work. good.gif

I'm in a wicked lot of pain today. My legs feel like I went running for miles without warming up and my hands are killing me. Basically I feel like I'm 80 years old! UGH.

amal
Well, we got a new couch/ottoman set AND a new dining room table with 4 chairs from a store on hwy 6 and bissonett called Allure' Furniture. It has some REALLY nice stuff. I highly recommend it if anyone wants some nice stuff. I'm very happy with our selection. Thank god we don't have to sit on the floor anymore. It wouldn't have been so bad if we had some cushions or something but bare floors for a month.....ouch! I hope everybody had a great weekend!
doodlebug
congrats amal!!!!!
