I once read that theres a envelope that is mailed to us and is not to be opened or its trouble. Which one is it and when does it come. How does that one work?
I recieved the fiancee packet and so did my fiancee in mexico but is that other one that Im curious about. Can someone clear that one up for me and the rest of us?
Thanks
onofre,
The infamous "Sealed Envelope." After the interview, and once the visa is approved, the embassy/consulate will mail/send back the beneficiary's passport (now with the visa inside) and the 'mysterious' envelope that is sealed. The envelope is sealed by the embassy/consulate and is marked "SEALED, DO NOT OPEN" (or something like this), and is intended to be carried on the airplane (if flying to the US) and given to the officer at the POE.
Note: When the package arrives, it is OK to open the outer envelope since it contains the passport - but by all means, Do Not get curious and open the sealed one that is inside. Pretty much all that is in there is your petition anyway so there aren't any secrets to be found.
Hope this helps..
