Just wondering if anyone knows when I can expect my green card in the mail?
I got my CR1 validated on July 30th, the officer at the POE said it could take 2 months
to get the green card. Is this accurate? Also, I heard that if your mailbox doesn't have your
name on it the mailman won't put it in the mailbox and it'll be returned (i.e. if you have a '
neighborhood with a group mailbox, only house #, not names on it)
Thanks for any opinions out there. : ) good.gif

My mailbox only has the house number on it, no problem. Most only have the house number around here.

My green card wasn't quite 4 weeks, but the guy at my POE said anything up to 6 months. Most arrive around 4 weeks but if they said 2 months give it at least until then. It will almost certainly be before that.

At my POE, they told me it may even take upto 6 months for my GC to arrive, but my GC arrived after 3 weeks. Mostly from what I read, it takes about 3-4 weeks. After 4 weeks, you can call USCIS if you haven't received your GC, just to inquire.

USually it depends on your state's jurisdiction, since mine, after 2 weeks from my arrival I got my GC and SSN by mail after the welcome notice smile.gif.
