is it true if u have been approved without an interview the first time then for the 10 year card u will have interview,
i thought for 10 year GC there is no interview for anybody, just sending the form and all the evidence and if u are approved they mail the GC.

there usually isn't an interview for removal of conditions but they do happen on occasion...

What happens to those from CSC who didn't get interviewed prior to their 2 year card? Does that mean they are automatically interviewed at Removal of Conditions?

I'm curious because I have heard conflicting information that states nobody gets a 10 year green card without an interview (especially if they didn't get an interview for their 2 year card) and I have heard elsewhere that people do in fact receive 10 year green cards without having an interview either for the conditional or for the removing conditions.

If somebody has anything concrete, I'd love to hear it.

Hey, how are you doing?
I don't think if you have been approved without an interview, you will definitely have one for the permanent card. There are interviews for the 10-year green card but not for all applicants. From what I've heard, they are on a more or less random base so you might say it's pure luck! There is a post started from people who got approved the first time without an interview- follow it and it's going to show if there is any correlation unsure.gif

Cool - I somehow didn't notice that there was a thread on it already.

For my own selfish reasons, I am also wondering about the interview part because, say you are at CSC for forever and a day, then your 2 year anniversary comes and goes and your AOS is still pending, does that mean they transfer you to another center so that you get an interview?

We are 10 days away from our 2 year anniversary and our medical (an RFE, joy) is next week...

from the looks of it, you might get the 10 year green card which means you wouldn't have to file to remove conditions...

I am pretty sure you get the 10 year card if you have been married for over 2 years at the time of AOS ....

(* the two years to remove conditions starts from the date you get your 2 year green card)

We might still be in for a wait, even after the medical, but I will let you know. I'm hoping that we won't be pending for too many months more... it's been almost a year already and the stress gets to me from time to time, more so the closer we get to the end of our journey.

Not true -- there were LOTS of people who had waited more than 2 years for their AOS interview
and were eventually transferred to CSC, approved without an interview and given 10 year cards.

the wait is probably a good thing because you might get the 10 year card if you have been married for over 2 years....

Random - we had an interview for our AOS and now have been told to await one for our ROC 10 year green card which I thought was a slam dunk we sent in soooo much evidence!! Just goes to show - there's no rhyme nor reason as to who gets and who doesn't

I waited 7 months before i got an RFE for the medical. However once the medical was recieved in CSC it took 4 days to approve the GC, and a further 7 to get the card in hand.

We don't have any interview here in Michigan. I think it depends on the jurisdiction of your state. But so far as I know, none of the Removal COndition applicants had been interviewed.

I have heard of some people be called in for an interview for removal of conditions.. so it does happen just not very often...

It is not only ridiculous but irresponsible to say this! Do you work for USCIS?
