Hi There,
I hope someone can help me?
I am getting my eveidence together for cr1 interview.
The only problem is my husband has only been out of prison, a year and a half..so we only have one tax return!
It states that you need 3, but dont know what to do as he doesnt have any, as he was in prison for 4 years.
Also if anyone can help with my previous post id be greatful.
Many Thanks : )

It states you need past year, but if you feel that it will help your case you can include 3.

You must provide either an IRS transcript or a photocopy from your own records of your Federal individual income tax return for the most recent tax year. If you believe additional returns may help you to establish your ability to maintain sufficient income, you may submit transcripts or photo copies of your Federal individual income tax returns for the three most recent years.

Hello,

If i am not wrong there is an option whether you are providing information of last year tax return or the last 3 years... Just show of last year tax return and send it, if income of last year doesnt meet the poverty guidelines, you got to have a additional sponsor.... and if it meets then just send the info of 1 year tax return and if NVC finds it insufficent it will get back to you.

YOURS is a special case please do consult an immigration lawyer.....

That is correct but there is also a place where your husband must list his income the past three years. If it was zero, it was zero. If the income was zero, the Consular officer is aware that no tax returns would have been filed. That will be consistent with your husband's biographical information on the G325a

The form you refer to is the I-864.
