pbj sandwich. yes we have peanut butter in brazil, yes we have jelly in brazil and yes we have bread in brazil, but i never thought of putting the 3 of them together. It's yummy!
ice cream. we eat ice cream in brazil, obviosuly, but it's not something like here that everybody without exception have ice cream in their freezer. And all the variety of flavors I just love it.
sour cream. I love it.
''mexican food'' after all, it is american mexican food. I really like it. We have mexican restaurants, but it's not everywhere like here.

I really like Applebees. Also Pei Wei's, Red Lobster and Chick-fil-A.
Outback Steakhouse is good for when I'm feeling homesick - even though it's American, they've done a good job with the Aussie theme!
I think my favourite place is The Cheesecake Factory.
I love the bottomless glasses of soft drink in most US restaurants which is unheard of at home ... and that many restaurants have pages and pages in their menus ... sometimes it's really hard to choose though!

In addition to Outback, Mags is also quite fond of Wendy's, The Monon (a local diner-thing), Mexican food, Texas Roadhouse, and she says she really liked The Cheesecake Factory.
I can't get her to try PB&J, nor will she even get near biscuits & gravy, grits, or hominy.

I'm not gonna talk about fast foods that we have in Brazil, such as McDonalds, and at least there they taste the same.
I guess food that I eat here and it's not something you see in Brazil everyday that I learned to love are doughnuts, american chinese food and Cold Stone.
Oh, and like Nessa, PB&J. We have all that but you don't see brazilians putting them together.

BEN AND JERRY'S ICECREAM!!! OMG specially dublin mudslide! If you haven't tried it, DO IT TODAY!! You will thank me.
I love some other things that are not american, but well I guess it's fair to consider them the american version of international cuisine, I personally love Indian food, I had never tried before and now I am a fan, I also like Thai food, and some of the mexican food they have here, but most of it, it's not as good as in Mexico, but at least help me not to miss home that much.
And last but not least QUARTER POUNDERS!! Even though here in California there is a hamburger place called IN N OUT that kicks McDonald's ### any day!
Now i am hungry, I am gonna eat some ice cream. yummy, yummy

there's so much to choose from in the US with being a northern lad we only have pie shopsand fish and chips, I'd rather go to ihop anyday, or sonic or chicken express (their ice tea is cracking) or red robin or outback steak house or papa john's or red lobster or denny's or pei wei or jack in a box or...........
But the thing I miss the most was the Sushi place we found in irving TX that was yummy.
I see you like the Crow.... wait till you have been over here a few years, you will start missing "fish n chips" - steak and kidney pud. proper sausages, salad cream, PG Tips... hahaha!
I must admit, the steaks over here are much bigger and better.
