Ok I had to dig but I'm thankful for plain toasted bagels with peanut butter.

I got an email from Cairo this morning. I had told them that Usama went twice to deliver the photos that were requested on the paper they gave him and that the first time they told him to come back and the second time they told him to make an appt on line. I asked how does one go about making an appt online. Here's the reply I got:

QUOTE
Dear Madam,

Thank you for your e-mail message.

A review of Mr. xxxxxx's record indicated that his case is currently

undergoing necessary administrative processing. There is no record of a

request of additional photos for him.

Once the administrative processing on his case is completed, we will

contact him to notify him of the appointment date and time.

Regards,

Consular Staff

awwww (((Hugs)))

If it's any consolation I think I quit smoking about 12 or 13 times before it really *took*. Just think of this as a bump on the road to progress. rose.gif
moody
Thanks, Doodle. rose.gif luv.gif

Since last year I've quit like 5 or 6 times. This time was a pretty good one...3 mos. smoke free with a smoker living in the house. It's just when I have a tough time I reach for the smokes. sad.gif

It's been a woe is me week. I think I'm pretty close to driving Moh nuts. He practically begged me to stay home today so I could get over whatever is bothering me. Funny thing is I can't exactly pin point what's bothering me. I'm so glad tomorrow is Friday!

Wouldn't he be so thrilled? He's the only guy I know who swoons over babies like women do. You should've seen him having a conversation with a one year old in line at Cedar Point last week. luv.gif But no, unfortunately I just finished my monthly three days ago.

Im thankful to have woken up today and that the sun is shining. Im thankful for airplanes, cell phones, hotels, cams, internet...think about that...20 years ago....could we have done all this as we do today? You just need to find the right one. I do really well on Atkins but it sounds like you would do great on Weight Watchers because you can eat whatever you want as long as you stay in your point range. So that cake is not a no no on Weight Watchers. They also have these realllly goood lil cakes they sell that are only 1 point!
moody
I was on the SBD for awhile and did really well but then fell off of it. I can stick to a diet but once I go off of it it's so hard to get back on. I just have to get motivated and just get back on a healthy eating plan.

Never tried SB, but I read about it and it just seemed like a complicated version of Atkins. I do well on Atkins but I do a completely different version of it, I eat meats, eggs, cheeses, but the healthier kinds. I don't load up on fat the way many people do who are on it.

I did WW once too and did ok, but the reason I stay on Atkins is because I have less digestive problems when I am on it. I have pretty much cut out potatoes and pasta all together, I don't even crave it. Rice I will eat occasionally and there is no way in hell that I could ever give up on breads. However I stick to whole wheat if I am going to have some.

Sweets can be difficult at times but they have all these low carbs treats now, like ice cream , candy, and even cheesecake. So if you really need something sweet its not hard to find.

My dad does really well with the Adkins but he's the type that will go nuts with the fatty meats, butter, cheese, etc. He has a bad heart too. He should really do it with the healthier proteins. He can shed 20 lbs in a few weeks like nothing. But of course he'll go off of it and gain it right back. I can't do Adkins and go completely carb free because I get migraines when I cut out all carbs. I do try to eat the healthier carbs (when I'm on a diet) like whole wheat pastas and brown rice. I may give WW another try. I tried it years ago and did pretty well.

The upside on WW is the frozen meals and sweets. Not to mention all the other foods they have now. I find that if I have to think to much about what to eat or measure all day, then I can't do it.
