I mailed in my I-129f packet on July 28. I have proof from the UPS that someone had signed it off. I was wondering why I still have not receive my NOA1 and why they haven't cash the check. It's been 2 weeks. You would think they would cash the check by now. I emailed CSC.Nonotice@dhs.gov
and they said maybe my packet got lost in the mail and that to cancel my check and to send in another packet. Why would they say that? I asked them to check if my name is in their system. All they said is maybe it got lost in the mail. Do you think that person that responded to my email even checked their system to see if my name is in the system? Maybe they were just to lazy to check that's why they said it got lost in the mail. What do you guys think? I know I should be patient.. But I'm just worried because they haven't cash my check. Anyway have this problems. Please share. Thank you

It's going to take more time Pinaylang, am sure many more people than 'normal filed on or just before you did to beat the fee increase... Hang in there...

Just be patient, they are probably overloaded with petitions. Many people filed to beat the increase. Good Luck to you on the rest of your journey!

Ok at leats i'm not alone. It's weird when I emailed them they didn't even research on it. they just said it seems as if it got lost in the mail. why would they even recommend me to re apply. Some just don't know what they are talking about or just to lazy to look into their system.

It took them one month to cash our cheque and there were others that took the same time as us.

uscis is being dumped with bunch of applications. you will have your noa pretty soon.

Same here... we filed on July 23rd to TSC... USPS Tracking said it was delivered July 25th... and that's it.
We call Western Union every day, but the Money Order isn't cashed yet either...
If they'd do that at least... <sigh>

I live in florida/usa & sumitted the I-129f overnight express w/signature on 7/25/2007 to the texas mesquite center
-they rec'd it on 7/26
-they signed for it on 7/27 at 7am by M salcedo at 720am (good to know they work that early.?)

As of today 81/16/2007 (slighly over 3 weeks) the check has not been cashed and i'ved rec'd no notice.

Just before sumitting 3 weeks ago and also 1 week after submitting I was told by a live person there that i should receive my first NOA within 15 days of submitting.

Then 1 week ago I called again spoke to another live person whom told me that we very busy now that the price has gone up, and so we giving ourselves upto 90 days to provide you with your first
notice.... Scary thought....

? - has anyone been told this ?

Also i read in the forums and posts that the texas center does not process app's anymore and has not done so for a about 1 year... ( but the they still require centain states to mail it there and then they forware it to california center) ...
-- ? why not have applicants sent directly to california ? - would this be to simple ? since they supposedly have not been processing app's for 1 year..

? has anyone else been waiting 3 or more weeks for 1st notice or for them to cash your check and to which center did you submit to?

We filed the petiton on 30June to Texas Service Center...
On 18 of July they cashed the check and thats it...
No NOA1,nothing yet...

We think that our package(and packages what been sent in July to TSC) processing in Vermont...
I guess so because one friend of mine called to USCIS and they said that you already could file the packages to the new addresses...

My fiance met with senator and he is willing to help us...

They probably told you to cancel your check and send in a new packet, so you have to pay the new fee for it too... just wait them out.. they have to get to it eventually.

Yeah when I emailed them that's what they advised me to do. Are they crazy! So I'll just wait. I'm glad I'm not alone. I got worried for a minute. When they told me maybe it was lost in the mail I got really mad because I got the receipt that someone did sign off the packet. And I got an email back from the USCIS and they don't see my name in their system. They said there is alot of people that filed that's why we haven't got anything. It's crazy. Now I guess it will be delayed a month or more.. Let's hope we all get our NOA1.

They actually advised you to cancel your check and resend the package?? That's pretty low. Best of luck to you. But I think you will be fine. Keep waiting for that check to be cashed. I wouldnt even really worry about getting the 1st NOA. Just getting the number is what counts.

Pinaylang.....It took 3 weeks for the CSC to cash my check. Hang in there! There is a lot of "waiting" that takes place while this entire process unfolds. Best wishes!

update....--- Hip - Hip - Horay...!!! They cashed the check after 25 days..
I-129f was rec'd in Mesquite TX on July 26, and today 130pm, on Aug 20th, the check has been first presented
to my bank..... It seems the times may be growing, or perhaps just for late july filers or for those required to file in texas.....

my profile does not have an input field for when they cashed the check.. sorry to be a newbie... ) ,,, but how are others inserting it into their timeline.... thanks.... as it could be weeks before rec'g the no1... yes i know to look on the back of the check for the receipt #,, -- i hoping my bank does not stamp over the receipt #.....

I don't know if I'am just so unlucky or what, but I sent my 129F on 7/20 and have a record of them signed for it on 7/23. It will be a full month soon but nothing happend. No check, and of course no NOA1. What if they lost it? I'm really worried since a lot of peple that sent theirs at a later dates already recieved their receipts or at least checks have been cashed.
It is tough wait. I did not expect it to be as hard right from the start.

Yes, we sent it to Mesquite, Tx... they don't have a physical address...
Saturday we received our NOA1 hardcopy in the mail...
But... when I enter the cas number on the internet... they tell me that it's an application 129 for immigrant worker <grin>
However the hardcopy says Petition for alien fiancee fortunately...
At least something is going on. :-))))

wait till the end of the week, then call them.... in the mean time call your bank or if you bank online then check to see if check was presented... Mine which took 25 days, the check has not even cleared yet, and i wont get the check back in the mail for 2 weeks.... so i'm waiting for them to photo , the front and the back and link it to my online banking...this wont happen for 1-3 days....,..
i guess what i saying is under normal followup i would not find out about my check being cashed for days or weeks, -- only because i saw the available funds go down by 170, did i know to call my bank which has accessto more up to the minute info... also note the 25 days is from when they actually signed for it, and not from when i mailed...

** My check is stamped from the Vermont processing center, when i mailed it as required to the texas processing center.. Also online it appears to be, over at and being processed at the vermont center. Are texas applications now being done at Vermont? In the forums online it talks about teaxas being mailed and done at california...

Are they now do load balancing...,, since vermont center was the least behind or the fastest?

they cashed my check in about 2 weeks but i have not heard diddly from our model of inefficency immigrationand. they cashed my check on the 2nd of july and i called them 30 days later and they told me that it was now taking 90 days to get your noa1. the good old federal government they sure are not slow to cash the check are they. thanks awatson
