This isn't necessary once you have a job, is it? I didn't think it was a problem for my husband to have it in his wallet, but his boss told him it's better to leave it at home. What do you think/do you do?

The card make a good photo ID and is better than carrying around a passport.

He does have a valid DL - so besides the photo ID - is it better to leave it at home? His SS card stays at home too.

WE leave it at home. No sense taking a chance of loosing it. His boss saw it and he has a DL, that should be adequate ID.

Unlike a Green Card, there is no requirement to have the EAD on you at all times.

Claudeth carried her EAD until she got her CG.

Thanks everyone! So I agree with the decision not to carry the EAD with him since he has a valid DL that is always in his wallet. My hubby's boss is also an immigrant and told him to leave it at home - so sounds good to me.
