I called CSC awhile ago using the RFE trick and was told we were approved on Aug. 10th.

Can I please ask you a quick question in regards with your service center?
In your profile and timeline, I read CSC as your service center but your signature says you mailed your I-130 at NSC.
Was your IR/CR case transferred to CSC from NSC? or Is it just a typo in your signature or something else??? The reason I am asking this question is just to see which service center approved your case so that I can have some approximation on my case. My I-130 was filed at CSC in mid-May.

In your profile and timeline, I read CSC as your service center but your signature says you mailed your I-130 at NSC.
Was your IR/CR case transferred to CSC from NSC? or Is it just a typo in your signature or something else??? The reason I am asking this question is just to see which service center approved your case so that I can have some approximation on my case. My I-130 was filed at CSC in mid-May.

I mailed my I-130 to NSC and it was received on April 26th. Sometime between then and May 21 it was transferred and received at CSC. I don't know when. After 30 days from April 26th passed, I called USCIS to get my receipt number so that I could check my Case Status Online and that is when I found out my NOA1 date and I never have received it in the mail.

I had read about the RFE trick in other posts. I decided to try this after having received 2 touches and then no touch yesterday. So I did a search on the forum for 'what is the rfe trick' Basically, from what I read in other posts is...after you receive a few touches, you can call the service center and say.... I looked online and noticed that my last updated date has changed and I was worried it might be because of a request for evidence (RFE) and so I was calling today to inquire about it.
After I said this to the officer, he just said...your case is approved and I said....I'm sorry, what did you say...lol b/c I thought I heard him wrong. He just said...congratulations you are approved, now can I have you verify your address.

oh ok sounds like a good way to find something out like you i still havent recieved noa 1 yet and still have no word i had one touch on 7/26 but nothing yet thanks for the info and good luck and have paitence you will be together soon
