this is the visual i get when i think of the buick skylark

This type of car is popular in Egypt. Many are old and well worn. It is what many average Egyptian male aspires for.
You must remember that you may see lots and lots of cars blocking up the roads, but the average Egyptian cannot afford to buy
a car....one of the reasons taxi's are so popular.
In your short stay in Egypt, did you see many new cars? I think not, again for the same reason Mr average Egyptian cannot
afford them.
Your husband appears to have built up a stereotype view of America. Has he ever been out of his country, even to another Arab/African
state? That would have been a cultural shock to him as compared with Egypt. So it is not going to be that easy moving to the US with the
views he appears to have built up
It would have been better if you could have spent longer in his country to understand better what his life is about, understand the language
and the way the Egyptian mind works. It is very different from the west
I speak from experience
