I am going to Have my interview this week 17th and i am very excited about it:)
I have already bunch of papers and still going to recieve more today from my Alex.
Would Be great if You cheked with me all over again list of documents i should provide for the interview.I posted before topic with another question but not so many of you responded.

The question was regarding the evidence..How much of what did you bring for the interview?


And I got one more question while preparing for the interview,what documents i will need to provide for marriage in the USA?

Every State has there own rules about getting a Marriage License, but most only require a form of ID so your passport would be ok..

The process is remarkably simple. In my state only one of the two parties needed to be present to make application for the license. No special documents required.

It's WAAAAAAAY too easy to get married.

Show up, give them your ID, sign a paper (you may have to "swear" that you're not married anywhere else of that you're legally allowed to marry here) and then find someone authorized to marry you like a judge, religious official, even a ship's captain can perform a marriage ceremony. Why not make it interesting and have Elvis do it?

Not true. Pilot In Command of an aircraft can't either. If the ship's captain or pilot happens to be licensed by the state to perform marriages, then they can. Their position as captian or pilot has nothing to do with it though.

In most states, that means being a Judge, Notary, Justice of the Peace, or some recognized/licensed religious figure. Judges obviously have the most lattitude in what they can do.

If you are going to marry in California, it is pretty easy. You can contact the county office that issues marriage licenses. Most require you set an appointment, so they can schedule you when there is a judge available. The civil service takes only about 1/2 hour to 3/4 of an hour and can usually be done for under $200. That will include certified copies of your marriage license.

Ask Alex to check with his county about any special requirements, but generally just show up, be prepared to prove who you are (passport is okay) and get married.

Good luck on the interview, if you have everything asked for in Packet 3 and have completed the medical exam, then you will only need the financial support documents, which Alex should be sending to you.

Relax, be honest, talk about your life plans with Alex, about plans to work and speak as much English as you can. The interviewers don't need you to speak English, but it goes a long way to proving your good intentions.

We had a civil ceremony at the old courthouse in Santa Ana and all Claudeth needed was her passport.
