Also when I downloaded the DS-230 from the NVC website it says " Expires July 31, 2007" Are they still using the same forms or do they have different ones now?

Yes you can download it, fill it in and send it to her if you like (I'm not sure why you wouldn't send it directly to them unless you are not comfortable creating your own coversheet per the shortcuts.).

The fastest way to submit the form is to use James's shortcuts as you have mentioned. They have not replaced the form with a new one, the one on the website is still valid.

Yup, fill out the DS-230 part I (or in some cases part II too), sign part I do not sign part II (if it's even needed, mostly not, check this with other people from the UK).

You mail it off immidiately the quickest way you can get. I guess that would be using the combination of the Brittish post & UPS and costs about 100$. If you don't care about a few days just mail it off as express . If your wife get's your stuff before the NVC's barcode (which is unlikely) she can make a barcode cover sheet if she knows the NVC's DS-230 generation date and send your packet in advance. Most likely you won't have the chance to do this, since your paperwork isn't with your wife already.



Doesn't matter. That expiration date is for internal auditing, they sometimes even send out forms that have expired years ago but they're still good.
