Yet another question.

Does anyone know when you can enter the UK again after leaving to live and marry in the States?

I have heard it is 3 months to 6 months.

I am leaving in october to marry in Dec and need to come back to the UK in May for a friends wedding, what's the deal on returning to the UK..

You can return when you have Advance Parole or your Green Card. Timing varies on getting either. You should be ready to file for AOS as soon as you marry, that way you will most likely be able to travel in May.

When your husband or wife arrives in the United Kingdom, they will be given permission to stay and work for 24 months. Near the end of the 24 months, if you are still married and plan to live together, your husband or wife may apply to remain here permanently.

The OP was asking about returning to the UK for a friends wedding.... not to live and work. once thay are married they can file for AOS and AP once the AP has been approved they can travel outside the US and return with no problems.. it takes about 90 days to get the AP after filing.
