Happy Sunday everyone!

I just woke up way tooo early as the neighborhood kids decided to vandalize a lot of mailboxes and tipped over all the trash bins at the VFW next door. They didn't touch anything in my yard so I'm glad I didn't yell at them to shut the hell up because they were screaming and carrying on.

Well, now I'm up! Back to basement/house cleaning. Two weeks left till my massive yardsale and I keep finding all kinds of things in the basement--like old Christmas e-cards I printed from my future sister-in-law and letters I meant to pass to my fiance in the hall at school...letters I wrote to my best friend about having a crush on my fiance...and a hall pass someone wrote for the two of us. -gush gush gush- luv.gif

My mom, on the other hand, has found tax returns from 1982. No wonder she hates doing this. laughing.gif The good news is that while we're packrats, we're selling about three full ROOMS of stuff. And that's just us--my mom's boyfriend and my grandparents are throwing a ton of stuff in too!

I'm so excited. After the yardsale we're remodeling the whole basement so my fiance and I can have our own space until we save enough money for us to move out. I keep sitting down there and looking at all the walls and imagining how nice it will be luv.gif luv.gif

No rest for the wicked here...have spent the weekend helping a friend move...well technically I am packer/cleaner as I still cant lift anything over 10 lbs devil.gif . It is so hot here though....102 yesterday....where is winter???!!!

I woke up at 7am and have not been able to get back to sleep. unsure.gif Maybe I'm getting better?

Ran to Dunkins while the kids were too groggy to tell me not to leave and just finished a butternut donut. yum! kicking.gif Sippin' my coffee and figuring out what I can clean next. Bought a swiffer mop that I can't wait to try out. Fun stuff! good.gif

Really? It seems to work well on my wood floors. As long as I use the special hardwood formula, not the multi-purpose or the anti-bacterial.

Good Morning all!

Just another hot day here today! I too have the swiffer mop..lol not the wet mop one though. I use it everyday. If you have animals, you will be amazed how much it picks up the hair.

Oh great. So I have to switch formulas? I was hoping to go from the kitchen laminate straight to the living room hardwood with no effort. The box says it's good for hardwood floors. unsure.gif

Do you have the wetjet, or just the regular wet cloths? If it's the regular wet cloths, then yes, even though the box says it's safe for hardwood, it is streaky.

I have the wetjet, and I have three different bottles of formulas that I just switch out depending on what type of floor I'm doing.

dang I am up too early too, waiting for the coffee to finish brewing but its time to feed my baby orphan kitties. I have them down to 3 times a day but its still sorta by hand so it takes a while. I keep trying to take some pics of them to post up here but I am their big momma kitty and when I am in there they are ALL OVER me and I've found that the pics just dont look right when taken from 4 inches away....
Anyway, hope everyyone has a nice sunday smile.gif

oh and I love my swiffer too, I didnt get the wetjet one but maybe that will be my next step !

Happy Sunday everyone.

I think I have only eaten at Dunkin Donuts once in my life. But, Krispy Kreme, on the other hand, is close to my heart. I think the small towns I used to live in had a Dunkin once, but it closed down or moved.

sara- I miss brewed coffee!!! crying.gif I used to brew a half pot of colombian coffee (with a little cinnamon sprinkled in with the filter) every morning. We have Turkish coffee here, and it's nice, but not the same as brewed coffee.

Doodle, have fun cleaning floors. wink.gif

We got a new laptop yesterday and we are trying to connect to the wireless internet that is here on our street. The people across the hall have it, the people behind us have it, the people one floor up from us have it, but guess what......................................it won't connect in this apartment!!!!!!!!!!!! What the hay?!? ranting33va.gif

But, I am excited that we got the computer because we're gonna take it back to USA and that is one less thing we have to worry about buying when we get there. And, it's one of the first things we would need there so that we can talk to the fam! Mabrook for us!

Hhhhheeellllloooooooo Everybody!!!!!

Ohhh I'm burnt to a crisp from spending all freaking day at Carowinds yesterday. At one point, I'm positive it was 103 and we were walking around on black asphalt! YEAH!!!! It was a great time though. We spent the hottest part of the day at the water park. I really had to watch for people not to run over my little boy. He was all over the place in the toddler splash pools. At one point, he went over to this other little girl (about 4 or 5 years old) and totally grabbed her butt! I was laughing really hard and embarassed all at the same time! We rode the lazy river together and he really liked that. He was really too little to ride much other than a train, the merry go round and some little airplanes. But he did get to see his first parade and his mommy won him a stuffed Elmo! Needless to say he passed out immediately for the night after we got home and slept and hour and a half late this morning. YEAH!!!!

I'm about to lay down an take another nap with him and then I'm going to try and get my house back in order from having twin 4 year olds here this weekend. Whew!!!

I thought about getting the Swifter Wet Jet, but what I have been using is just the regular floor swifter but I use Plege's wet floor wipes. I've got hardwoods all over the house so I use those ALOT. They are REALLY good and they don't streak at all. And since they are specially made for floors.

I get to talk to my hubby tonight after two whole weeks! Can't wait! biggrin.gif heart.gif

Morning girlie!

I couldn't agree with you more about Krispy Kreme. I'm pretty sure that they dip those in pure CRACK!!!!! YUM!!!!!!

Have you guys tried putting the wireless modem up in a high place. When I was living with some family members, I had a similar problem with it not connecting and once we put up in a higher spot, it worked for the most part. Connection was slow. Good luck!

work tomorrow, ugh wacko.gif

To make your hardwood happy, use the wood spray and a microfiber head cloth. yes.gif

Welcome back allousa. I am glad you had a good time!

I think he's just trying to see if he can get it to work from the signal that is coming from his cousins' flats. They are surrounding us on almost all sides and he was trying to avoid getting the wireless for this flat (save money, i guess wacko.gif) but we may have to do that in the end. We're not sure yet.

I don't know what I have. You put 4 batteries in it, press a button, stuff squirts out and then you mop the floor. My 10 yr old did the kitchen and now I already need a refill on the bottle. whistling.gif To her credit though, it was wicked dirty. I did some of the hardwood floors with the solution, it says it's "multi purpose" and I don't notice any streaks but then again my floors don't have that shiny stuff on them...just wood and that's it I think. Anyway I'll get the wood specific stuff when I get a refill on the floor stuff. It's really cool though and the things you stick on the bottom of the mop look soooo gross when we're done!!! blech!

I had Krispy Kreme once but they're not big at all up here. Dunkin's rules along with Starbucks but you can't get the good donuts at Starbucks. In a perfect world I'd go to Starbucks for my coffee and Dunkin's for the bagels and donuts but who has the time.

I'd just bite the bullet and get the wireless router yourself. I tried tappin' off my neighbor's one time when mine was on the fritz and it was sooo slow. Plus they can detect who is on and who is not, just as I can now. I know there's a security thing you can get with it but I have four computers working off my wireless router and I can't figure out how to get it all together with the passwords.

LOVE the lazy river at our water park up here! good.gif I could be in that thing all day!!! LOVE naptime too!! lol. I remember when my kids were nappable they'd go down like clockwork each day from 10 to 12 and 2 to 4 and you bet your bippy I napped right with them, one on each side of me on the weekends. luv.gif

I think we are not gonna switch to the wireless because when we leave we will take the laptop and the other computer doesn't need the wireless. Plus, it costs about 5 times as much as the regular DSL.

I think Krispy Kreme must be a southern preference or something. Side note: The man who owned the Krispy Kreme in my town was (and maybe still is) a state rep of SC. And, he would send out congratulatory letters to all of the Dean's List recipients at my university. You could bring the letter into Krispy Kreme and get a free doughnut and coffee. I would do that every semester!! WOOOHOOO! kicking.gif
