I am GC holder and my parents and sisters come to visit me while they are on vacation every year. They usually stay for few months and before I always drove them around. I know they can use international driver's license to be able to drive here. Does anyone know how long they can drive with their international driver's license here? I live in state of indiana.
thanks
The international drivers license is just a translation of their countries driving license.... you need to check the DMV for your state about validity of drivers licenses from foreign countries...
Foreign Visitors Driving in the U.S.
Quick facts for foreign visitors about driving in the United States
1. An international driver's license must be obtained from your home country. This permit only verifies that you hold a valid license in your home country. It is your foreign driver's license that allows you to drive in the United States. Contact the authorities in your home country to get an international driving permit, as the United States does NOT issue international driver's licenses to foreign visitors.
