Something tells me we are back at the very beginning of the process, waiting to be receipted in some dusty VSC mailroom.... Let the fun start all over again...

that would be quite obnoxious. My hopes are it is going to be "push ahead" time so they transferred us for approval as the one year mark is coming up. Really wondeirng about the different notices people received. Anyone have a clue if our case numbers stay the same or change to a Vermont case number?

Submitted I-751 to TSC Jan 8, rec'd NOA from VSC Jan 25, got one year extension. Recd biometrics appt letter Feb 2.

Uh, I'm sure this is confusing for you, but this thread is for those of us who filed at TSC before July 1 of last year. All of our files were suddenly transferred en masse to VSC last week. Yours (along with all new petitions filed at TSC) was transfered to VSC automatically without ever having to endure even an overnight stay at TSC -- let alone the 7-12 months we have endured.

I don't know -- I was just touched again today (it's not even 8 a.m. yet!). That could be the "arrival" at VSC or maybe I'm on an adjudicator's desk. Or something in between . . . .

same here..got touched today...probably transfer issues... hopefully we will all be approved within two weeks....

I have good news and excellent news, not sure if they are related to each other... I sent in my application N-400 which was received on Feb 1st at TSC (as per USPS online) On that application I sent in copies of expired card along with copy of NOA extension letter.

This morning I received an Email, confirming card production , here is what it says,

"The last processing action taken on your case

Receipt Number: SRC07104*****

Application Type: CRI89 , PETITION TO REMOVE CONDITIONS OF PERMANENT RESIDENT STATUS RECEIVED

Current Status: Card production ordered.

On February 1, 2008, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you...."
I guess things are finally getting done. Not sure if N-400 application had anything to do with it. Also I have been checking everyday and I never got a "touch" GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!

Speaking of the King, I'm wondering if ven2lin was either approved or got an RFE. I don't think they transferred anybody with an NOA1 of February 15 or before.

It looks like people with NOA1s after February 15, 2007 were either transferred or got socked with RFEs, while everyone after March 1 was just transferred.

I thought you said you were approved (or at least told you were approved when you called customer service)? I take it instead of an approval, your online status now just shows a transfer to Vermont?

i am trying to figure out if it may be because my NOA of 06/25/2007 is relatively late compared to most of the people who got transferred, but your NOA is in February so that might not be it...

Ah ha. This is why the customer service number is a complete waste of time! Bad enough that they are unhelpful, but when they tell you that you've been approved . . . .




I'd tend to see that as a positive sign . . . meaning, like vumbi, you are about to be approved by TSC. Else they would have transferred you. Or given you an RFE . . . .

Well, this is kind of messy, but whaddya gonna do. I had to eliminate the date sent column, which is meaningless anyway (except, perhaps, if one hasn't received an NOA1, but that is limited to markwash02, who was approved in December).

I've made a couple of assumptions. First, that everyone on the list who was transferred did NOT get the notice that says "we transferred this case to our VERMONT SERVICE CENTER location to conduct the interview."

I've heard that some people have gotten this notice (e.g., a newbie named disneyworld and a couple of others), but I don't see anyone on the list. Check your notice and let me know if it does say this.

Also I'm assuming everyone who was transferred was touched on Feb. 4.

We should probably start a new thread with a list abandoning the already-approved and the left-behind . . . .

and whether the accompanying notice stated that the case was transferred "to conduct the interview."

Good morning all.
I just got back from my infopass appointment. It was short - and as usual when dealing with USCIS, not very informative.
I couldn't get a stamp in my passport, because the lady told me that the NOA1 was still good till May (so I guess the NOA1 extends the greencard calculating from the expiry date of the greencard - for anyone else who has been wondering about this).
I've enquired about my case being transferred to VSC and all she told me was that this was a good thing, as it would speed up my approval and I should have my new greencard before the NOA1 expires i.e. May 2008.
She said I wouldn't get a new NOA from VSC. Oh well, we will see what happens.
On a side note - I was there at 8:45, and the customer rep ppl at USCIS already had a bad mood, is that a hiring requirement for the USCIS customer care reps?

someone is really busy at vsc touching everyone.

i am guessing that the touch is nothing more than an indication on vsc's part that they have gotten our files.

They are probably pushing them from one adjudicators desk to the other... most likely some kind of "hot potato" game - no-one wants to touch us lol

Wow, that sucks. You would think they'd do something on your case in response to receiving what you sent in for the RFE.

You only really need the stamp if you are going to travel abroad or for proof of employment eligibility (if you don't have an unrestricted SSN card). Also if you're Mexican and plan on traveling through Maricopa County, Arizona.

I'm thinking they've got to be transferring you to VSC at some point. TSC just isn't working on I-751s anymore.

This must have something to do with the fact you had such a relatively late biometrics, which ended up putting you somewhere else in the pile. Mr. Big Dog and Muergana were recently transferred to VSC after being stuck at TSC long after the rest of us were transferred, but they had biometric appointments later than yours.

Well, it's a theory.

I just don't understand why you guys didn't get transferred with all the others.... There really is no use trying to make sense out of USCIS.....

I guess I am getting depressed - and worried - about the lack of response from the TSC.

I wonder what is taking so long?

I will go to my local Charlotte office before my g.c. expires and get a stamp in my passport - just to be on the safe side.

Edit: looking at the list, even with all the Losers transferred to VSC removed, you can see how ridiculous this is. JLR had an NOA1 date 4 days after ven2lin, yet he was approved SIX AND A HALF MONTHS EARLIER than ven2lin (and still after having waiting 9 months himself).

I don't know why they haven't fired the directors and top management of both TSC and VSC. They are hopeless incompetents.
