That is correct. As far as I know they are still doing transfers to CSC.

Just wanted to let you know My wife's Unconditional Card arrived in the mail today. As we held our breath we checked the card front to back and back to front, and thankfully there was zero errors


This was definately one crazy ride fo us but...... WHEW (wipe my brow) its finally over.

But it's all made up anyway b/c the real time is somewhere in mid-February. They'll probably just let it sit around April 8 or so until they actually catch up to that date. Meanwhile, I'm still within the reported processing time . . . .

We are passing the 11th month mark and so far we haven't heard a peep! I cant wait until we get to month 12. The way I see it either we are going to get an appointment within a month or we are going to argue our way into getting a 10 year green card with the help of our senators office because they used up their own processing time (as if that would work).

So, I'm staying optimistic. Only one more month to go before SOMETHING happens!

Another day, another milestone.... 300 days for me as of today!

The only response to our service request was a letter stating that the application was still pending........I feel like I'm slowly going insane from the not knowing.

HI all.

My wife submitted her on January 17th 2007. They send the one year extension on January 22 2007. She had her biometrics done on February 27th.
The case is still pending. Her one year extension expires in middle of April. It is extremely frustrating for her as she is working and does not want to loose her current job. I guess we would have to do an infopass appointment to get her passport stamped. Do this stamp covers her work permit?

a. Order from Immigration Court - If you were directed to us for processing based on an order from the Immigration Judge. You must bring all
documents required in the post order instructions given to you by the court.

b. Case Processing Appointment - If you received a notice to go to your local office for further case processing.

c. EAD inquiry appointment - If your I-765 employment authorization application has been pending for more than 90 days.

d. Case Services follow-up appointment - If it has been over 45 days since you contacted NCSC and have not received a response to your inquiry.
You must bring the Service Request ID Number related to your inquiry to the appointment.

is a Service Request when you call the USCIS customer service and ask them what's going on with the application after the processing date. If that is the case then I did call them 2 days ago and the lady said that she sent them a request go get back with me.

Yes that is a service request.

A couple of weeks or months later you will get a reply on your service request by snail mail which contains some information along the lines of they are still processing your case.... Don't expect much of it.

Actually, I think it goes by date received, which is April 5, 2007 for me. When I called to do a service request, the customer service line agreed that it was outside of the published processing time. I contacted Bill Nelson.

i'll have a go at answering that... infopass is an appointment you make at your local uscis office .... i-551 stamp is an extension to your residency in a form of a stamp in your passport

You will need to make an Infopass appointment with USCIS to get an I-551 stamp in the passport. It allows you to still work and travel. Not the best thing, as what you really want is your greencard, but still it is a viable option.

Can we get our money back if we naturalize before they issue us a new card? I mean we obviously don't get any service in return for the fees supplied. They can keep the biometrics fee, but the rest I would like to have back.

Slightly off topic and venting....I've made three service requests over the past year.... They just send you information that you already know and can retrieve from the uscis website.... pretty useless really...

I guess it hasn't really been that that long for me. My NOA is dated 06/25/07. I am just a alittle anxious after hearing horror stories about USCIS's competency at times, even before reading any posts on this site!!!

What is really scary is it looks like there are people that have been waiting & received their NOA January of 2007, and then others who have gotten approved that filed after I did. You gotta wonder what happens behind the scenes at the TSC!

Also scary, dont know if you guys have seen the processing times on uscis website lately. In November 2007 they were processing cases dated April 7th 2007. A month later it got updated to April 8th 2008! What the heck!?! Anyone else catch that?

Could you provide your other info, i.e., the date you sent your I-751, your biometrics appointment date, and the date that your file was "last touched" (that is, the "Last Updated" date that shows up when you log in to the USCIS site and look at your case)?

I was actually being half-way serious. Usually if you pay for a service it constitutes part of a contract which includes your right to receive certain services or goods. If you don't receive what you paid for you can take legal steps, to either, get the goods/services or a refund.
I wonder if legally, them cashing our checks gives us the right for service, i.e. do we have a legal right to receive anything?! thus would it provide legal ground for a law suit?....
I don't know too much about US laws, but I wonder if we have any right to sue them for services not received.

well, nvm, I just called there, they told my I'm disqualified, as I'm not a US citizen, I just need to send them a letter.

Whats up everyone! just got an email from my senators office (one of the caseworkers) thats says the following,

I am asking for this one to be pulled and worked.

I guess I will give it 30 more days and see what happens. Mean while i will apply for citizenship in 2 weeks... something has to give!

I just called my Senator today. Their office informed me that "another inquiry was sent just prior to Christmas," and that I should be hearing something "within a week of two." Mind you, that's not the processing of my case, but rather, the follow-up to their inquiry regarding where my case is and what is happening with the processing times.

Grreaat.... the last ones on some Loser List!!! That makes me feel good. I can't tell online when the application was 'last touched' it just says it was received and pending.

Question: if my application was sent somewhere else, I would have gotten a letter or the case status tool would be updated i am guessing?

Also: The applications that got sent to another service center, are those getting approved?

You can tell from the receipt number where it was sent to:
your receipt number starts with:
SRC - it's being processed at Texas service center
there is also WAC, EAC and something else

Just to make you feel better, or worse, I'm taking a page from the NSC Losers' list and adding Silvanski, the first known transfer from TSC to CSC. He got an RFE and was STILL approved in just a little over three months!

The USCIS case status inquiry will tell you your case's "last date updated" date (i.e., last touch).
