I am having trouble finding the correct address for filing of I-751 in Texas. Does anyone have a link to this address?
Thanks

Hi all,

I am not an active member of this website, although I check the forums and benefit from your postings from time to time. Like you, I am waiting on my wife's 10-year GC to arrive in mail. I could not resist sharing a recent response I received from TSC in mail regarding a service request I filed because of my case being outside the normal processing time.

My dates are as follows: NOA: 2/13/2007, Biometrics: 3/16/2007, absolutely no action since then...

I got this reply about 6 weeks after I opened my service request by the way!

Read and enjoy!

"Date: Nov. 19, 2007

Case type: I751
Filing date: 2/13/2007
Type of service: Outside Normal Processing Times

The status of this request is:

Our review indicates that this case is actually within our current processing time. Your I-751 application is ready for review selection. We regret any misunderstanding. If you do not receive a decision or notice of other action within our current processing time, check our website for an update or call customer service at the number provided below."

Isn't that insane?! mad.gif This is while their website gives a processing time of April!! Clearly that date is bogus and it's only there to save their face I guess! I honestly think they have a number of letter templates and they just pick one randomly without looking at the request, fill out the blanks and mail it. Interestingly they also wait until the 6 weeks wait time reaches its end so you don't send any more service requests in the mean time....

You should read the instructions for filing the form before doing so. The instructions tell you were to file:

Just wanted to let you all know that Gustavo's greencard arrived yesterday. It was so nice to have it in hand - and error free, too! I keep praying that there will be more approvals in TSC Loserland. We all want to sleep easy.

It's within their double-secret processing time, not the public one they make up by throwing darts at a calendar or pulling dates out of a hat.

I forgot to add amir to our list and welcome him as a fellow TSC Loser®!!

I'm also taking the liberty of deleting the "Date of I-751" column. Given that people use different means of delivery, the date the I-751 was sent to TSC is not of much importance, and particularly at our stage of the game -- the NOA1 date is the one that counts. If anyone objects, it'd be no big deal to add it back. It's not like this list changes very often.

Hi all,
I'm in the same boat, unfortunately. I sent my I-751 on Feb 5, 2007, NOA date is Feb 7, 2007, biometric done on March 16, 2007 and have not heard anything from TSC since.
I sent my N-400 on Nov 17 though, another wait for me apparently since TSC has not processed N400 faster than I-751 as I am informed mad.gif

It seems that TSC indeed doing something. This is what I got from getting my case status online this morning :

Application Type: CRI89, PETITION TO REMOVE CONDITIONS OF PERMANENT RESIDENT STATUS RECEIVED

Current Status: Approval notice sent.

On December 10, 2007, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this CRI89 PETITION TO REMOVE CONDITIONS OF PERMANENT RESIDENT STATUS RECEIVED. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service.

Request was put in on Sept 25, reply is dated Oct 23.

The status of this service request is:

Based on your request we researched the status of this case. We are actively processing this case. However, we have to perform additional review on this case and this has caused a longer processing time. If you do not receive a decision or other notice of action from us within 6 month of this letter, please call customer service at the number provided below.

6 months from the date it was sent is EXACTLY when my 1 year extension of the GC is expiring unsure.gif
"additional review" ... hm, that doesn't sound good. I think I'll start gathering info and contact a senator to look into it after the holidays. helpsmilie.gif

Sounds fishy to me. You could translate the "additional review" sentence as "This case is still sitting in the dog-eared cardboard box in the janitorial closet of the basement mens room with the other I-751 petitions from you losers and we will get to it when we darn well feel like it."

I'm not sure if I have mentioned this before, so if I have I apologize. When my wife and I went into the Atlanta office for her two year green card interview I noticed something while the nice lady was filling in the blanks on her computer concerning our case. They had all of the cases in these individual folders (although the folders looked the same) and she had many....many files sitting on the desk behind her.

Trying to lighten the mood I jokingly asked if those were all the cases she had to go through today. She nicely said no, one day last week their entire computer system went down for a day. She continued by saying that each officer has a set/preplanned case load to accomplish every day. Her 8 hour shift allowed her to only interview those needed and enter the info into the computer system.

She stated that since they would not approve O/T for her or anyone in the department that she was not sure when she would get to enter the other cases into the system since her days were always filled to the rim.

They are at best off by about two months. Why give yourself false hope? Based on your NOA1, I wouldn't expect to be approved before the end of April. I don't expect to be approved before the middle of March.

Attention: All VJ'ers who contacted their senators

I am wondering if anyone has heard from their senators regarding the status of their cases?

My senator said that my file was going to be "dealt with by hand" the week of December 3.

Well, it's now Dec 19 and my file hasn't been touched since last May.

Anyone else?

Well, it's now Dec 19 and my file hasn't been touched since last May.

Anyone else?

WHATS AN APPROVAL MEAN????? I checked USCIS website, they have deleted that word.

Serious note, some of us from another thread have contacted Reps and Senators, some have had action, some not. We shall see after the new year or no?

Hang in there but god, what a mess the system is.

Cheers

Susie

*sigh* I have been without internet access here for a week and was hoping for at least one approval for our lovely Losers......'twas not to be be. sad.gif Merry freaking Christmas TSC!!!!! girlwerewolf2xn.gif

Hey Cassie, how did you weather the storm/lack of power?

We hunkered down for the first couple of days with friends who had a gas cooktop on their stove and a gas fireplace. We then stayed for two nights with friends who got their power back pretty quickly. It was pretty bad -- I was so desperate to get warm (our house dipped down to 52 degrees at one point) that I went to work early (for some unknown reason, they never lost power, go figure) and cranked up the heat. blush.gif Thankfully our power came back last Thursday, because we were running out of clean clothes -- I had never been so grateful to do laundry in my life! Our internet wasn't restored until last night.

The sad thing is, there are still many households without power -- I don't know how they are doing it honestly. Thankfully, the temperatures have risen a bit.
Mr. Big Dog
I don't know. I keep peeking in here thinking that the TSC is actually working from time to time. I'm just so silly.

Thanks Tweety

we have been discussing the citizenship possibility, but she is a little reluctant after all of this. She does not want to lose her italian citizenship (I cant blame her) and just our luck we will get somebody reviewing her case that has the mindset that if you apply for US citizenship then thats what you will be. (So to avoid all of that we will probably wait for awhile to see how everyone else handles dual citizenship.

Thanks for the Christmas wishes, and I really hope that TSC has really waken up, and you as well as the rest of the Loser class will be approved shortly.

Dr. ZoSo
Just thought I would post an update to my wife's case.

We scheduled an INFOPASS appointment at the beginning of last week for Friday 12/21. We arrive about 20 minutes early expecting a long line at the satellite office. After getting through the security check point (stripping ourselves of all metal was interesting) we continued onto the waiting area. I must remark that that satellite office was very nicely designed and managed. They had large flat screen TV's on the walls showing news and the number calling system which was also over the intercom.

We had to wait an additional five minutes after the first time we tried to check in because you can not check in until 5 minutes before you appointment time. After we checked in we waited 7 minutes before our number was called. Once called we approached the counter and talked with a nice CSR officer.

Now to the point...

She ran my wife's A# and informed us that her case had just that day (12/21) been touched by the Atlanta district office to be inputted into the computer system. We can only hope that means an appointment for her second interview is getting closer.

We also inquired about getting a new I551 stamp in my wife's passport so she could get her license renewed. The officer looked over our documents and said they are not allowed to give another stamp out due to the fact that my wife's 1 year extension was ending in February. I pushed the issue again after hearing this (nicely mind you...) and the officer took my wife's 2 year green card, extension letter, passport, and drivers license to her supervisor for review.

A few minutes later the officer came back and offered to stamp my wife's passport with a 6 month I551. We accepted, and out the door we went.

After, we went to the DMV and she was issued a 6 month DL.

So, we did get some answers after all.
