Well Don and I are now getting a divorce and he is going back to Canada.
My question is... will he need a passport with all the new BS going on to be admitted back home? blink.gif

Hi Rhonda,

Sorry to hear that. To the best of my knowledge he won't need a passport to enter Canada (assuming he has all his Canadian I.D. with him).

To get further reassurance he might want to call Canada Immigration. (I'm assuming he is flying, if he is driving across the border he definately won't need a passport if he has the correct I.D.).

Best of luck to you.

As long as he has proof of his Canadian citizenship, he should be fine. He might want to see if the border will provide him with any evidence of his date of returning to Canada in case he needs it to prove his 'qualifying' time for health benefits or such. Otherwise, he should be fine.
