Hi,
I filed for OPT in May but never received both the approval notice or the EAD card. I went to the local office yesterday and the officer told me the card has been sent and therefore my application has been approved.
I now have to file a whole new application for lost/stolen card which might take up to 90 days! and unfortunately I will most probably lose my job.
My question is: since my application has been approved, am I (theoretically) legally authorized to work?
Thank you very much for your help, I dont really know what to do right now.

I would think so, but better double check with the USCIS folks... don't want to be caught in illegal work limbo!!!!
