Hi,

I am a student that just graduated and I applied for OPT in May (Vermont Center). My problem is that I never received the EAD card!
I went to the USCIS local office today and the agent told me that they sent the card and it has not been returned. So they refused to send me back a new card and want me to file a whole new application again.

I am supposed to start working mid-Aug and filing a new application that might take 2 months to be processed is gonna get me fired before I even start!

Does anyone know if there is any other solution? or at least if there is a way for them to accelerate the processing time?

I asked both the Customer service number(more than once) and the USCIS agent, they really didnt try to be helpful at all.

Sorry to hear about that. The first thing I would tell someone in a situation like this is to make an infopass appointment but you already went that route...in a next step I would talk to your school's DSO. Maybe he has some advice for you. Good luck!
