20 days? Damn. Our I-751 has been sitting with the TSC for almost two months and we still don't have any biometrics appointment either. Must be a Florida thing.

We received the NOA1 around 6/25. It's been about 6 weeks between NOA1 and bio appointment letter.

The biometrics notice date is August 2. The NOA1 date is June 19. There is no visibility of the bio notice online. The online status hasn't changed since 06/20/07 when the NOA1 was produced and mailed out.

I have the same problem. INS got my papers on June 28, NOA date is July 10 (transfered to California), I got it on July 23 and no biometrics letter yet. My friend (from Florida) filed papers a few days later and has his fingerprints done today. And I'm still waiting...

That friend of your also having the bios done at the Tampa office? Asking because we are dealing with Tampa and it took quite awhile for our bio appt to arrive. In fact, we filed almost two weeks before you did and just received the bio appointment letter yesterday for an August 30 appointment. If my theory is correct, your letter should be coming up within the next 10 days or so.

you should have made a infopass as jasman07107 said. it is very unnormal for so long time without fingerprint letter. You should make a infopass ASAP right now.

Nope, he lives on the east coast. Let's hope you you are right and I will get my bio letter soon.
Ven2lin, that's frustrating

. And what did they tell you?

Aug 11 2007, 01:16 PM
Sorry I made a mistake. Ven2lin already had two infopass appointments. What did they say? Maybe your last fingerprinter has no more than been 15 monthes so you dont need another one?

Just so you know... I got my NOA1 right away and after 4 weeks, no biometrics. Yesterday I found out why, they need another version of my USC wife's birth certificate.

How did you find it out? I totally did not send any birth certificate. Is that for I751 or I485?

Ven2lin, I've just read all your posts and now I fully understand your case delay for the bio letter. I am thinking there must be have something you can do rather than just waiting.

The first infopass appointment I made they said that a biometrics appointment hasn't been sent "duh!, that's why I made the appointment" .. they also said sit tight and wait... "Heard that since I started the entire immigration business!"
2 months later.. phoned uscis and got them to raise a service request.....as I sill hadn't seen a biometrics appointment.
Approximately 2 months later still.. I made another infopass appointment and they said my file had been given to "someone" and to wait further... lady at infopass also e-mailed TSC
To date ... still no biometrics appointment or approval ... Think I will wait until the end of august and make another infopass appointment, or call them up.

Never did get a notice for the AOS biometrics.
Did it immediately following the AOS interview.
That's when the fun began as they screwed everything up BIGTIME.
2 more biometric appointments later [and me a $1000 lighter] they finally got things correct.

Update on us: We are headed to the Sub-Office next week to see if we can get this funky stamp. Even though it's not really needed, I'd feel so much better if Nani had the stamp when she goes on her trip. Our Congressman sent a response to our earlier query today saying that USCIS told them that all we need to do is make an appointment at the locakl office and get a stamp. So, we'll take the letter and head over there next week and see if we can get her passport stamped for the time being. Just for shits and giggles.

Give it another week or so. If you still don't hear anything, give US Rep Gus Bilirakis' or Senator Nelson's office a call. They'll help you.

Well, we called her today and were told we belong to another county, sorry

.Then we called Senator Nelson's office...generally we were told they cannot do anything for us because INS can do whatever they want. The only option they can offer is to came there to fill some request form in and and they will send it to INS. And as they mentioned this actually will not help us or make any difference

Well, I found an envelope in my mail today, it was from INS:
Dear....
On 08/21/07 you... contacted us about your case. Some of the key information given to us was ... bla bla bla...
And then - the status of this service request is:
WAC........
No slots available at your local ASC. You will be rescheduled as soon as a slot becames availlable.
While I was trying to understand what this was I found out another envelope from them. And la-la-laaa - it was MY BIO LETTER, bio appt. on 10/10/07
What is funny I just called the castomer service 2 hours ago and as always they told me they don't know anything and I need to wait 90 days and then might get an infopass...

That's great news! So did you actually send an inquiry yourself or did the congressman/senator help out here? Just wondering.
Sweet Melissa
Sep 18 2007, 10:59 AM
No, we didn't call the senator, my husband thought it would be better to wait for 90 days first.
When I called the customer service in the end of august an operator sent an inquiry. I didn't expect it to work out but you never know... What I think INS just forgot to schedule biometrics for me and after receiving the inquiry they discovered and fixed it.
