I posted this on the AOS forum, but I wanted to see if anybody specifically from the NE has gone through this.

Here's my question: My fiance was just approved for his K-1 and will be arriving next week. I've read on other sites that people brought their medical results with them to help save money with the biometrics and all they had to do was have it translated onto the I-693 form. I'm trying to find out what exactly is the biometrics and if the info. I mentioned above true. The Nigerian Embassy is saying he can't have a copy and they will have to retest him for another $150.

I appreciate any helpsmilie.gif.

The biometrics has nothing to do with the medical. His fingerprints and photo will be taken there, fee is included in the AOS.

For the AOS you need to have the DS3025 copy from the foreign doctor and have a civil surgeon here transfer it to a I693a.
Call around as each CS charges different fees, $10-$35 is reasonable.

If he did not receive a DS 3025 he can ask to have one faxed to him or if he is still there go to the doctor himself.
On the bottom of that form it states that the applicant should get his own copy.
Some have filed without the transfer supplement and made it through, others have received a RFE.

Often the CS insists on doing an entire medical again but that is NOT neseccary if the medical is under 1 year.
He may need more vaccs if varicella was not available there.
The CS will determine what vaccs are still needed if any.

hello
We went to a Civil Surgeon in Altamonte Springs...and they charged $25 to transfer the info. We called around the Orlando area...and that was the best rate we could find.

Yes...it was on the list, I believe that he is located on Altamonte Springs Dr...can't remember the name. Just explain that you need info transfered onto the immigration form...and they will know what you mean...we called several other places and they wanted to charge outrageous amounts....CRAZY.

Also....the biometrics place you will go...once you recieve appt is on 436....in Orlando and we were in and out w/in 30 mins.
