Good morning all. Well magicjack did start working last night so I was able to activate my new bank cards - to replace the ones with the faulty magnetic strip...woot woot.

Another nice day here in Florida, sun is shining and it is a balmy 22 degrees.

Good morning to all. Not so bad weather wise here until it rains again that is.

g'morning everyone!

Yummy!! Definitely need one of those!

Had a crappy start to my day- I slept in. I woke up at 7:30. I usually leave at 7:20 to get Max to school. I woke him up in a panic, literally threw his school uniform at him and told him to hurry and get dressed. I was supposed to get Cooper to the vet by 7:30, he is getting neutered today.

I got Cooper to the Vet and Max to school on time! Whew!

Then I stopped at a diner on the way back and had a big greasy breakfast when I should have come home and had a slim fast shake. sad.gif

And I'm stressed out about my AOS interview tomorrow.

Whoa. That is a crappy start to your day, Stacey. You must have been flying. I'd treat myself to a big greasy breakfast after that too.

Your interview will go well, Stacey. It's just a formality. They're not going to deny you. But I understand about being stressed out. Have another big greasy breakfast after that too. good.gif

I bet he's at a bar right outside SSN
that's what we did last time =)

Oh and btw, I selected the DC14 Dyson vac for our registry.

I compared 7 vacs (suction power, features, pet hair, and weight) and decided that it's best for me =)

Oh and I forgot to mention, anyone remember the diamond earring I lost down the bath tub drain a few months ago? A week or two before we left Calgary I was in the bedroom one night, walking out and something sparkly caught my eye. Yes it was my earring imbedded in the carpet!

The vacuum had obviously been over it a few times as the post was bent and the diamond was loose, in fact fell out (not sure why the vacuum didn't pick it up but anyhoo).

Still need to get it repaired - but I found it!!

Holy crap!
bet that made your day

Good Morning! I'm back from my 2 day training and it was incredible! Met some great people and attended some fantastic workshops. I'd better stop now or this post will be several paragraphs long. I think one of my last postings mentioned me testifying by phone during a hearing in Saskatoon. Well, the Judge said "nope!", so they're flying me back to Saskatoon for the hearing. yes.gif So, unless the accused takes a plea bargin, I'm flying in Monday and staying until next Saturday. This allow me time to testify, and see my kids, and all my friends back in Saskatoon. kicking.gif I'm excited! Here's coffee....

Thanks Peeps!!

Mel took everything to work to make copies. I hate having everything out of my sight, but I know he'll return everything safely.

I'm mostly nervous about our evidence and if we have enough. We have a joint account but hardly use it- he usually just gives me his debit card for another account when I need stuff. He added me to one of his credit cards and I am on his health insurance and car insurance.

I didn't say anything Charles! unsure.gif

Welcome back Carla, yes we will all meet up!

They did release my Husband from the Social Security office good.gif . Actually, and here is a helpful hint folks, when you write out the directions to get somewhere when you are in a new place, be sure to write the directions for coming back tongue_ss.gif

He was actually only in there about an hour. They have this new system where you go up to see the guy at the front desk, you tell him why you are there - new, replacement, something else, then you get a number, they apparently go through the replacement people like wildfire - one assumes this new office/procedure is a result of people just wanting a replacement complaining about waiting for all the new applicants!
Kathryn41
You know, Trailmix, it is sometimes the most basic things we overlook:-) - like directions to get back home biggrin.gif .

I remember the story my Dad tells of when Mom would go away for conventions and stuff. She always left him lots of prepared food complete with instructions of how to heat them up. She even wrote out instructions on how to boil an egg: "Put water in pot; put egg in pot; put pot on stove; turn stove on to high; let water boil 5 minutes; turn stove off; take egg out of pot; run under cold water; peel egg; shake with salt and pepper; eat egg"

My Dad wrote back on the bottom of the instructions - "You didn't say how much water to put into the pot. I burned the eggs. Pot is soaking in the sink" rolleyes.gif

Invariably, the peanut butter jar was always empty and the bread gone when she came home. They usually ate all of the nicely prepared food the following week.
Leafgal
Kathryn that is too cute, I am guessing both of your parents have a great sense of humour. And your mom got to take the next week off from cooking which was a bonus too.

First of all, if you miss a program on television you can probably watch it here - www.hulu.com - all perfectly legal, very few commercials.

Anyway, I was watching a program and this ad for desperate housewives came up - so I took this screen shot, is it just me or does it look like these legs are mismatched??

None of those women were in the same room for that shoot. You can practically see the halo around some of them and where they were "cut and paste" out of their original photographs. You can also tell the lightsource is wrong -- especially with the second woman from the left. It's a very, very sloppy Photoshop job.

I have tons of work to do. There are areas of this house that I don't think have been cleaned since Mel's grandma died (a long time ago) We have cleaning ladies that come every 2 weeks, but they only do basic stuff.

With my mom and sis coming on Wed. I want to get this house in tip top shape.

I'm off to a good start, I have already cleaned and organized the fridge and deep freeze this morning. The kitchen isn't too bad- I cleaned and reorganized everything a few months ago- that was a 2 day job.

The computer room/ guest bedroom is going to be a challenge. It is truly horrifying. Mel has stacks of papers everywhere- old school work, his notary papers, etc. I'm too scared to even look under the bed. Also in this room Mel has papers all over the wall with mathematical equations that he won't let me take down ( reminds me of John Nash in a beautiful mind).
