the commercial came on TV!
Only they have upgraded the car. It's for Mazda.

As for the Enjoli and Prince Matchabeli, I refuse to watch the ad because it will get stuck.
As it is I recalled the melody for the word Enjoli....don't ask me what the product was.

Temperature is going from around 33F (or less as it was last night) to 59F with thunderstorms, floods, hail the size of golf balls, and tornadoes in what is called the "Midwest".

It's funny how you say there is a lot to do in Calgary flames, we are always saying there is nothing to do

Mind you, we live in a suburb, with nothing really around here (which I like because unless you live in this neighbourhood there is no reason to come here) - yet really we are only 20 minutes from downtown.

Well, the Relocube is supposed to arrive between 7 and 9, so my Husband got up at 6:40 (funny thing is I looked at the clock at 6:39 and then the cat came and meowed at the bedroom door - guess we are all excited about the relocube)

We will be heading off in the car for Florida tomorrow, unless the roads don't look great, seems to be lots of snow in Montana - so we will postpone leaving for a day or two dependant on if the roads look clear. We still have our snow tires on, will people in Florida notice?

Aww. Poor kitty's going to be all confused. No, I don't think anyone's going to notice snow tires in Florida. They don't even notice me walking in a parking lot (based on the number of times I've been hit and/or had near misses by tiny little seniors who can't see over the steering wheel of the big old boats they're driving without looking). And I'm WAAAAAAAY bigger than a snow tire.

Yes, she's been good, I thought she would be kind of skittish with everything being moved/packed etc, but she's ok, but I worry about her anyway.

Just a few minutes ago! Here it is, it looks o-soooo-small!! My Husband has just gone out to do some measuring to make sure our bed will fit in there. I don't know why there are 2 relocubes on the truck, only 1 of them is ours, I guess that's so when you see the actual size you call them and add the second one for another $ 1000 !

We have hired a mover to actually put our stuff in said relocube. We were hoping to fit our washer and dryer in there too, we will see. Have to weigh up the cost of shipping vs new stuff, an additional relocube is like $1200, can buy a new washer and dryer for that

Anyway, off to wrap up the bed in plastic wrap!!

Whoa. That IS small. Good thing you gave away most of your stuff. And just look at that snow! Yes, take one more good look at it, Trailmix. That's the last you'll be seein' of that stuff once you move.


D'oh! I ended up doing the same thing two times. (Me packing, him not, that is.) The first time from Canada to the apartment in Florida then, again, six weeks later from the apartment to our house. Bleh. Moving sux.

Actually, Husband has done A LOT of the packing. Normally it is me who is the packing person, but not this time - which I heartily agree with!

He also cordoned off a piece of the basement to the dimensions of the relocube to see how totes stacked up etc etc - so in theory the bed should fit, but he still had to measure it!

Wrapping the bed in plastic wrap just now was....different, why didn't I just buy a total mattress protector thing??

I will be happier when all this stuff is in the cube, please everyone cross your fingers that it will all fit, think 'large cube, small items all fitting'.

Ok, so they are about to take the bed out. I had a chair in the living room, which looks out to the front yard/relocube - then I decided that was just a bad idea, so I am staying here with my computer and my tv

Then again, if there is room my computer chair will be going in the relocube too, I can type and sit on the floor though, the skills the skills!!

Ok so moving guys just come out, one guy says, it's going to be really tight, don't think it will all fit, other guys says PLENTY of room, so I say - I'll go with what he is saying.

Thing is - other guy though both relocubes were to be packed

Uh oh trailmix.... does this mean that you will need one more cube sister???????

Well Plan B is to leave a few things here - like the washer and dryer. So we have asked them to pack that last.

It's hard not to get involved but I am sitting here not looking around staring at the computer screen a la ostrich.

Hey guess what, I was just in the cats room, which is at the back of the house, and there is like this jungle gym thing back there - anyway, there is an Owl sitting on it!!

Well, I did it! I gave notice at my job! Our interview should be in the beginning of May at the latest, so I'm going to be done work April 10th and work on getting rid of all of my stuff and selling my car! Talk about a huge weight being lifted off of my shoulders! YAY!

PS. Sending good fitting vibes your way Trailmix! I'm sure it will fit just fine!

WOW! Congratulations! I didn't give notice until my visa was about to expire and I had to use it or lose it.

Crikey, we were going to do that, but the only reason I've been up here and not down there visiting my sweetie is that I'm supposed to be saving money. That's not working, so we both decided it was time to just move! So I'm giving my stuff away and I'll go for a holiday before the interview. Then we'll go to the interview together and fly home! YAY! I'm so excited. I guess I'm super excited too because this is a sales job, and sales just isn't for me! I've been dreading work for months now! I'm just glad that I know it's over next week! YAY!

I remember oft times when I would be in my nightie, wear my Sorels (with bare feet of course), my down filled parka, get into the car and go to the drive through...always hoping and praying I wouldn't get stuck someplace, and actually have to get out of the car with my nightie on!
