Question - is the 'checklist' for K1 / K3 applicants (Canada) posted somewhere?

I scanned the Montreal Interview letter for IR1/CR1 applicants and uploaded it here and posted a link to in on the Canada page of the VJ wiki.

If someone could scan their interview letter/instructions for K visa applicants we could post it there too? If it already exists can someone let me know where it is and i'll place a link to it on the wiki page.

I've started applying for jobs (slowly mind you, think my mind is a little fuzzy from all this vacation). I work in IT doing software testing, so most of it is online. Very repetitive What I've noticed around the DC area is alot of companies are looking for Security clearance because they take government contracts.

As an aside ....my husband's company is bidding for a Gov contract to design a 'workflow management tool' for USCIS! In layman's terms it means they know they need help in making their processes faster! A little late for us tho

ya if one has a security clearance in the DC area your laughing! I think the price for the company to get 1 a Top secret clearance for an individual can cost up to $15,000! So if ya already have one, thats a huge bonus. Thats 1 reason why some people start out working for State Dept. and move on!! And of course not all State/govt job require a high security classification!!

Thank God someone's throwing money at the USCIS, Udella. We still have to remove conditions and, from what I'm reading, it takes a year or more. Maybe they'll have picked up some speed by the time we get to it.

I'll be working in the accounting dept. at a local paper.. I can take the bus to work everyday.. which is a big plus.. we won't need to buy a second car!!! That makes my hippy heart happy!

Morning peepz. I'm in a super good mood today -- my friend Sarah from Deadmonton will land in SeaTac airport at 7:41 p.m. Mamma in law et moi will go get her, and then have a nice dinner chez in laws; then off to where the poor people live for a night of conversation and gossip.

Good morning everyone. We have an overcast day here in Calgary, currently -1. We are expecting it to remain mostly cloudy with a high of around 5.

D'oh. Sorry. Forgot the weather report. It's sunny here, with an expected high in the mid 70's. Denver's going to be 68f, but I see it's scheduled to drop into the 30's and 40's for the duration of my visit. Must be karma getting back at me for griping at my BIL saying that whenever he comes to visit Florida it snows.

When do you actually leave for the 'snow' state??

My Niece and her boyfriend got stuck in Denver overnight last year during the big snow storm of 07. It was the silliest thing - I mean the airline obviously knew that this weather system was coming in, all flights were grounded when they arrived - sweet.

Oh wow. I remember that storm. Gosh, I love a good snowstorm.

We leave tomorrow. We're taking different flights, though, because the government, in its infinite wisdom, will only let their employees fly through government-approved airlines which are booked by a government-approved middleman. Which means his flight is WAY more expensive than my flight..... even if I was paying for it. (He transferred his Southwest free trip awards to me so I'm flying for free. Plus I've got free drink coupons so I'm good to go. )

The thing with the Denver snow storm shutdown, it's funny, on TV you see the red cross pretending to hand out water - everyone is saying people are being looked after.

In reality they were never even offered a drink of water, no chance of a hotel as the roads were closed, so they ended up spending mega dollars on airport food and sleeping on the floor.

My Sister and her Husband decided they would go rescue them, so they hopped in the car and drove, from Nebraska, as far as they could and ended up sitting in a motel just outside of Denver.

So my Sister needs to go home as her Son is still at home so my BIL drives her back then drives back to Denver and picks up my Niece and her boyfriend just after they opened the roads.

Good grief. What an adventure!

I remember sending pics of what it looked like down here in December and January (warm, sunny, no snow at all, and people were wearing short sleeves and jeans at the most!) to my then-fiancee (she's now my wife) and she couldn't get over it. Where she was, it was extremely cold, windy and lots of snow.

I'm a man so I automatically suffer from severe commitment phobia, besides I'm not about to impose my unique brand of Hell on some poor female.

What would make you think I'd know anything about disposing of the victims of homicide. Hint: remove the teeth from the gums and heat them, they'll explode like popcorn and the DNA will be so degraded that they'll never figure out who it is. Burning a body won't work, the lips and cheeks will burn but the DNA in the pulp will still be quite useful for DNA testing. Not that I'd know anything about it.

Damn table saw got clogged with all that tissue, next time I'll remember to freeze the body first.
