I am kind of scared to post coffee, since I made two people cry yesterday with my coffee posting, but here goes anyway!

Sorry about your husband. That really sux. Use Canadian Nyquil, and pack some to bring with you. Apparently they've removed some of the effective ingredients in it here. I found out when it didn't work and one of the Americans on the board told me why.

I used to drink a large cup of
chai when I felt a cold coming on. Always Red Rose brand but I understand you can only get it here in Canada and not in the States. Only in Canada, pity.
So gald you could make it after the party last night, how were George and Matt?

I am glad you did not have to use any mouchoirs with the coffee today crikey!
My Husband's visa came in the mail today, it's very swish I must say.
My Brother in Law and Nephew were at the Nebraska USCIS office this morning for their visa interview and they are now official green card holders (or will be when the cards arrive in about two weeks). My Nephew can claim citizenship now that he has that.
I won't go in to huge detail about my BIL's visa interview, however many many many years ago he was caught with marijuana. What I do want to say is that because the very old court documents did not state what he was caught with - just that he was caught - he had to file a waiver. The USCIS person was so nice, she already had it all ready to go, they just had to write a note saying what he had been in possession of and pop out and get a money order - how efficient/nice is that!

Congratulations on Mr Trailmix's new visa arrival!
You know.... I've heard of quite a few people having to file waivers because of being turned back at the border due to old old marijuana possession charges. (I mean, come on.... it was the seventies. Flower power and all that stuff. Who DIDN'T know someone who smoked marijuana?

) Anyway, it's nice to know that USCIS didn't hold it against him.

Well the good thing is that they already had his old court records because they no longer exist. He had to file for a border crossing card when they went to the U.S. to live about 10 years ago or whenever it was.

Oh Karen,
I do hope you don't get sick and that Joel and the Princess are soon much better. I am still getting over the ends of a flu type illness that included bronchitis and a sinus infection. After 10 days of being really sick with no improvement I saw the doctor - drugs are wonderful inventions! The antibiotic ended yesterday but I still have more time for the cough. Make sure you get medical attention sooner rather than later with this particular virus that is going around. You can treat the symptoms and hopefully get over it faster. A friend of mine is going on her 6th week of fighting this particular bug.

parnets have a similiar model (yr older) and they love it!! Does a great job!! The trick is to go over it once (or a few times)with the shampoo, THEN rinse with just hot water. There is a setting for that. One only has to use the steamer a few times to pay for itself!!

I have a Dyson vacuum and its amazing how much stuff it picks up! We have 1 dog and 2 cats!! I always do a very good vacuum prior to using the steamer, but its amazing how much hair the steamer still picks up!! And I vacuum every 2 days!! And of course the steamer does a good job and getting rid of stains!! I think it does a better job that the Chem-Dry professionals!! Prior to moving into our Condo, I had Chem Dry do our carpets! Was Ok. But After the first time with the Bissell, the carpet looked better!
