LOL. Funny. I do feel like a cry kit today, though. I woke up with a head and chest cold.

I had so much planned for today, too.

No idea where I got it but I'm hoping it doesn't last very long.

Sorry you have a cold krikit (pronounced 'cricket'), that's just blah.
So we were talking last night about moving and said hey, maybe we should go live in Nebraska for a year, maybe flip a house or something (with my Sister and BIL) and then move on to Florida.
We were originally moving to Nebbie because they are there and we like them. But Florida, land of the palm tree, sand, warm weather, beaches. The thing is they are renovating (and I mean seriously renovating) a house that is like 120 years old right now. When they bought it it didn't even have all the walls up/floors done and they had to install a bathroom before they could move in. They will have been at it for 2 years in April (forgot it was that long Charles and you still didn't have their address

)
What to do! Anyway we will make a decision this weekend, can't keep changing our minds, well we can really haha

I obviously need more coffee, my point with the whole old house renovation ramble was that they will probably want to stay there rather than move to Florida any time soon - geez.

Well, I obviously need less drugs, because I'm still confused. (I took some cough syrup and some Dayquil and I'm feeling a little light-headed at the moment.)
Here is my take on what you've said..... you're not going to move to Florida unless your sister and BIL do?

I would like to blame your Dayquil and cough syrup, but I cannot in good conscience do that.
Ideally we would all be living in the same town, but we will move without them after a year if need be - need to get away from the snow!

Yes! Next up the scooba, will be buying one when we get to the U.S.. You know, this thing really does vacuum well - we have hardwood except for an area rug in the living room and we both commented yesterday that the rug actually looks cleaner than when we use the regular vacuum*

I vacuumed the day before with it, prior to the Dyson Animal purchase!! USed the Dyson and WOW, it picked up sooooooo much animals hair and other debris!! I was totally shocked on how much stuff it picked up. i really wasnt expecting much, since I had just vacuumed!! I also own a Bissel carpet steamer that I love!! When we bought our condo, we should have got the carpets replaced, but we knew we would be having animals, thus no reaosn to splurge and get new carpets put in,especially since we knew we werent going to be here that long. Rather just keep them clean and put in new (carpet allowance) when we sell. But I highly recommend the Dyson. My mom has 1 has well and loves it. They have 3 cats and 2 dogs, lol

Jan 6 2008, 03:47 PM
I would like a Roomba too, except I expect it would have at least 3 of the cats following it around and batting at it as it moved across the floor! I hate our vacuum - it is a Hoover Wind Tunnel that seems like it weighs 300 pounds. It does a good job where it can reach, but I need two hands to move it anywhere, it can't get under most of the furniture and it can't make it into corners so I am always having to take all of the extension pieces out and put them to gether to get along the edges of the furniture and under everything. It is a real pain, especially as the hose part is too short and I end up having to brace my shoulder against the vacuum while using the extension parts to reach under stuff. My husband bought it before I moved here when he just had an empty house with no furniture. I am sure it is great under those conditions! So, the vacuuming gets done once a week although it could definitely use it more often. I don't need to go to a gym for a workout - I just need to vacuum! I wash floors on my hands and knees too.

Geocaching is an outdoor treasure-hunting game in which the participants use a Global Positioning System (GPS) receiver or other navigational techniques to hide and seek containers (called "geocaches" or "caches") anywhere in the world. A typical cache is a small waterproof container containing a logbook and "treasure," usually toys or trinkets of little value. Today, well over 480,000 geocaches are registered on various websites devoted to the sport. Geocaches are currently placed in over 100 countries around the world and on all seven continents, including Antarctica. It's great exercise, and a really fun thing to do as a couple. Very inexpensive, and allows us to go places and see things we've never been before or saw. Little out of the way places. We've geocached in Canada, and in our travels here in the US. I got a second hand unit for dirt cheap from a friend who was upgrading. There is an official site for us "geeks". www.geocaching.com Check it out.
I'd rather be doing that than housework!
If you can believe it, it was -13 C on New Years Day here. Yesterday and today, it's +20 C. Weird eh? No snow of course. Very windy. Supposed to be like this for another few days.
