It makes sence logistically .. but I'm not sure I can take it emotionally. But I also don't want to offend or make it a "big deal" ...



So here's the update.. Hubby & I agreed to compromise.. spend 2 nights in the hotel, and spend Christmas Eve & Christmas Day night at his ex's with the children. That way we ease into this and don't add stress to the already stressful Holiday rush.. AND best of all he'll be there for Christmas with his children..

I'll keep you posted!! smile.gif We are having a wee Christmas next Friday night before we leave to open our family gifts from our parents etc. that will save us lugging that stuff to Atlanta - and then we'll be going down to Atlanta Early Saturday Morning.. we'll be there till Boxing Day.. so.. it will be fun to have 2 Christmas's for us!

So here's the update.. Hubby & I agreed to compromise.. spend 2 nights in the hotel, and spend Christmas Eve & Christmas Day night at his ex's with the children. That way we ease into this and don't add stress to the already stressful Holiday rush.. AND best of all he'll be there for Christmas with his children..

Two Christmas celebrations sounds nice, as long as you don't have to cook for both it's alllll goood.

Speaking of cooking, here is the thing. I have cooked A LOT, many many many meals. It just seems like I always end up cooking. My Husband would cook, but he gets home late-ish and it just seems silly to eat so late, after preparing etc.

The thing is, while I must say, after so much practice I am quite good at it - I don't really enjoy cooking all that much, there are moments where I have actually enjoyed the process but in general - no.

On the other hand it is nice to make food and have people enjoy it. Ramblin ramblin ramblinnnnn

Speaking of shovelling.. i've got to find our shovel. I had a small one when I left Canada.. and we just got 6-8 inches of snow here yesterday in CT.. need to do some shovelling tonite when we get home!
