My wife just arrived from Peru on a K3. She was here previously, obtained a Social Security Card that states "Valid for Work Only with INS Authorization". She did work in the US, as her employer did not ask for the authorization and she was taxed.

The I 485 Adjustment of Status application states that you are not eligible for adjustment of status if you were employed in the United States without USCIS authorization prior to filing this application.

Any insight or help with previous experiences is much appreciated!!!!
