Can you please update your timeline so we have more information about your particular case?

Your case is in AP or Administrative Processing and it is security checks, fingerprint checks, depending on job, or schooling as well as a character check. The consulate can have someone go to your job, school or home and verify your information. If you have any red flags in your case they can be checking the background on this as well. AP is a dark hole without a time frame for them to finish up any processing. AP/AR is considered a matter of National Security so they do not have to tell you anything but your case is in AR/AP. Pray for patience and email them for status updates frequently. And please add your time line as well since this will help others advise you or show as a reference for others going through your consulate and AR/AP.

You are getting impatient and only 2 months have passed since interview.

Well my fiance had his interview 14 months ago, still awaiting consulates decision.

Not forum but passport get visa stamped / Return flight ticket as proof shows to consulate that you been going in country and going out. You have to use as evidence to proof the relationship is bonafide

The reason my case has been in AP for 14 months is that my SO has a common name. The Consulate never questioned our relationship . They accepted our proof. My only problem is how long do these clearances take to complete. We are on our third one, the fist two had no issues thank God.

So if going back and forth to India is just to prove our relationship. I don't need this as a requirement at this point.
